Happy Monday friends!
One of my favorite things to do when creating cards is to mix and match stamps and dies from different companies to create a truly unique card. This sweet thank you card features stamped images from the Mommy Lhey Sweater Weather, Doodled Porcupine, and Beary Bear stamp sets, a stamped text background using my all-time favorite Simon Says Stamp Tiny Alphabet Background, a die cut and a stamped sentiment from the Hero Arts Thanks Stamp and Cut Set, stitched borders with a Pretty Pink Posh Stitched Borders 2 Die, and heart confetti die cut with the Mama Elephant Confetti Die.
I started by using the MISTI and masking paper to stamp the images from the Mommy Lhey Sweater Weather, Doodled Porcupine, and Beary Bear stamp sets using Lawn Fawn Jet Black Ink. I stamped the balloon portion of the one image again on a separate piece of cardstock. I used a Pretty Pink Posh Stitched Borders 2 Die to give a decorative edge to the stamped image strip and then colored in the images and the extra balloon with Copic Markers. I fussy cut the extra balloon and set both aside to work on the background and greeting.
I stamped the background on a side fold card base with my very favorite background stamp, the Simon Says Stamp Tiny Alphabet Background using Lawn Fawn Jet Black Ink. I love the look of the crisp, black text against the bright white background.
I stamped the phrase, " for your kindness" from the Hero Arts Thanks Stamp and Cut Set on black cardstock using Versamark Ink and heat embossing with white embossing powder. I adhered the strip behind the colored images strip as shown and adhered both to the card base with foam adhesive. I adhered the balloon to the card base with foam adhesive as well.
I die cut the word, "thanks" from the Hero Arts Thanks Stamp and Cut Set from cardstock adhered to Fun Foam for a dimensional die cut greeting. I added color to the die cut word with Candied Apple Distress Ink. I adhered the dimensional greeting to the card as shown.
I finished the card design with a scattering of heart confetti created with the Mama Elephant Confetti Die die cut from Lipstick Red Cardstock. I added a layer of Glossy Accents to the confetti and the balloon for a bit of shine!
