A few days ago I shared a post with sneak peeks of a few projects I created with some of the latest Lawn Fawn CHA release (you can preorder the latest release from Simon Says Stamp HERE). I asked you, my readers, which project you'd like to see the video for first and the winner was the Elphie Selphie Card! This is my favorite stamp set from the release and I'm excited to share it with you all! I will be sharing all the videos for the projects sneak peeks a bit later on but today it's time for Elphie Selphie! The new products I used for this birthday card (as well as the whole release) is linked below and can be pre-ordered now.
For the background I die cut Lawn Fawn Mermaid Cardstock, smooth white cardstock, and Lawn Fawn Cilantro Cardstock using a Small Dotted Rectangle Die. At the top of the Mermaid Cardstock rectangle, I stamped greetings from the Elphie Selphie Stamp Set with Lawn Fawn Jet Black Ink. I stamped hearts from the stamp set were stamped with Versamark Ink and heat embossed with red embossing powder.
From the Lawn Fawn Cilantro Cardstock rectangle, I die cut two borders using the Grassy Hillside Borders Dies. From the smooth white cardstock rectangle, I die cut a Little Picket Fence Border Die.
I adhered the three borders along the bottom edge of the blue rectangle background and then die cut a zig zag border mat from smooth white cardstock using a new Zig Zag Rectangle Stackable Die.
The elephants and balloon from the Elphie Selphie Stamp Set were stamped on smooth white cardstock using Lawn Fawn Jet Black Ink and colored with Copic Markers. I die cut the images using the coordinating Elphie Selphie Dies and adhered them to the scene as shown. White dots were added to the cheeks of the elephants with an opaque pen to finish the card design.
