Happy New Year friends!
We're starting off this first week of the new year with a love-themed card that will work for Valentine's Day or for anytime you want to send a hug to a friend or family member! I love cards that work for multiple occasions, don't you?!!! I'm sharing one of my very favorite techniques, a dimensional die cut greeting with Fun Foam and Stick It.
I trimmed down some smooth white cardstock to 5 1/4" x 4" for the background and applied Candied Apple and Dried Marigold Distress Inks going from dark to light as shown. I spritzed the background with water from a Distress Sprayer and blotted the background dry with a paper towel.
I stamped the mice, box, hearts, label, and balloons from the Simon Says Stamp Cuddly Critters Accessories Stamp Set on smooth white cardstock with Intense Black Ink and colored in the images with Copic Markers. I die cut the images with the coordinating Cuddly Critters Accessories Dies.
I adhered the images to the background as shown, adding detail to the eyes with black and white glaze pens and glitter to the balloons with the Wink of Stella Clear Glitter Pen.
Stick It was applied to both sides of a piece of Fun Foam and then one side's backing paper was removed and cardstock was adhered. I die cut the Simon Says Stamp Heart Smile Die from the dimensional material and then applied Candied Apple and Dried Marigold Distress Inks to the greeting before adhering it to the card background as shown. A layer of Wink of Stella Clear Glitter Pen added a subtle glittery sheen.
I adhered the panel to a top fold card base and then stamped an additional greeting from the Simon Says Stamp Cuddly Critters Accessories Stamp Set with black ink to finish the card.
