Welcome to the Lawn Fawn February Inspiration Week!
Today the Lawn Fawn Design Team is showcasing the new Happy Hatchlings Die Collection and Hoppy Easter Stamp Set and coordinating die. I absolutely adore these new Happy Hatchlings Dies for not only creating cute cards but they're perfectly sized for scrapbook layouts and home decor projects too! All of the components for my card were die cut from smooth white cardstock and colored with Distress Inks. I love being able to color images for complete customization!
For the background, I applied Salty Ocean Distress Ink to Bristol Smooth Cardstock, spritzed the background with water from a Distress Sprayer and blotted it dry with a paper towel. The borders were created with the new Simple Grassy Hillside Border Dies. Greetings were stamped from the Happy Happy Happy Stamp Set and Hoppy Easter Stamp Set using Versamark Ink and heat set with white embossing powder. Twisted Citron and Mowed Lawn Distress Inks were applied to the grassy borders.
The Happy Hatchlings Die Collection was die cut from Bristol Smooth Cardstock. Squeezed Lemonade and Carved Pumpkin Distress Inks were used for the chick. Spun Sugar Distress Ink was used for the cheeks and detail was added to the tummy of the chick with a white opaque pen. Black Soot Distress Ink was applied to a solid egg image and the chick adhered over the black egg. Glossy Accents made the beak shine!
Picked Raspberry, Squeezed Lemonade, Twisted Citron, Wilted Violet, and Carved Pumpkin Distress Inks were used to color the eggs. I assembled the scene as shown and rounded the corners with a 1/2" corner rounder.
Sparkling Clear Sequins scattered throughout the design finish this card.
