Simon Says Stamp + Waffle Flower | Stitched Cup Of Tea Card

Happy Friday! Last week I shared a couple of Stitched Cacti cards featuring one of the awesome new stitched stamp sets from Waffle Flower Crafts. I love that the stitched stamp sets look like cross stitched designs when stamped! Such a cool effect. Today, I've got a quick and easy card to share with you featuring the Stitched Cup of Tea Stamp Set. I combined these rainbow stamped images with a greeting from the Simon Says Stamp Coffee & Tea Stamp Set for this clean and simple card.

I stamped the heart tea bags from the Stitched Cup of Tea Stamp Set on Neenah Smooth White Cardstock using Waffle Flower My Pleasure, Oh Happy Day, You Said What, Chirp Chirp, Daydreaming, and Happy Go Lucky Inks. The tea bag string was stamped with the Waffle Flower Like A Pro Ink. I stamped one of the tea bags upside down for added interest and it also serves as a great way to "lead in" to the stamped greeting from the Simon Says Stamp Coffee & Tea Stamp Set. I love mixing and matching stamps from different sets/companies on my cards.

I die cut an A2 sized panel for the front of the card from a Doodlebug Gingham Rainbow patterned paper using a Lacy Layers Die. I die cut the stamped panel with one of the scalloped Lacy Layers Die and adhered it to the patterned paper background with foam adhesive.

For the inside of the card, I stamped a tea cup and saucer from the Stitched Cup of Tea Stamp Set using My Pleasure and Daydreaming inks. The steam was stamped with Like A Pro ink. I love that the image adds a touch of interest to the inside of the card and reinforces the tea theme from the front!

Simon Says Stamp | Funny Food Cards

Hello! Today I've got a set of Funny Food cards featuring the Simon Says Stamp Funny Food Stamps and coordinating dies. Custom inked, stamped, and stenciled backgrounds make the perfect backdrops for these adorable images!

I stamped the pizza, bread, donut, and watermelon images from the Funny Food Stamp Set using Lawn Fawn Jet Black Ink and colored the images with Copic Markers. (The Copic color combinations for each are listed below the individual card photos a bit further down in the post.)

I die cut the images with the coordinating dies and added detail to the eyes with a black glaze pen and some white detail with a white pen.

For the backgrounds, I die cut rectangles from Bristol Smooth Cardstock using a Stitched Rectangle Die. I inked the rectangles with Distress Inks: Abandoned Coral and Dried Marigold for the pizza card, Dried Marigold and Squeezed Lemonade for the bread card, Picked Raspberry and Spun Sugar for the donut card, and Mowed Lawn and Twisted Citron for the watermelon card. Using the darker of each ink color, I inked the Large Falling Hearts Stencil over the inked background and then stamped the Tiny Alphabet Background over each.

Once dry, I die cut a circle from each background using a Stitched Circle Die. I stamped greetings from the Funny Food Stamp Set below the die cut circle openings with black ink. I adhered the rectangle panel to a white top fold card base with foam adhesive and then adhered the circle to the card base. A funny Food image was adhered to each circle with foam adhesive.

I die cut hearts from smooth white cardstock using the Mini Hearts Die. I colored in the hearts with Copic Markers and then adhered them to the cards as shown. The hearts were finished with a layer of Glossy Accents.

Mama Elephant Designer Series | Party Animals Pop Up Birthday Card

Hello friends! Today I have a pop up birthday card featuring the amazing new Party Animals Stamp Set and coordinating dies. These cute bunnies and chicks are celebrating a birthday in the clouds and the party continues on inside the card with a pop up scene and additional stamped greetings! I love creating cards that tell a story from the front all the way to the inside!

I stamped the Party Animal images on smooth white cardstock using black ink and colored in the images with Copic Markers. Be sure to color a few more images for the inside of the card too! Once the images were all colored, I die cut them with the coordinating Party Animals Dies. Detail was added to the eyes with a black glaze pen and Glossy Accents was added to the noses.

For the background, I trimmed a piece of Bristol Smooth Cardstock to 5 1/2" x 4 1/4" and applied Dried Marigold and Spun Sugar Distress Inks. Once blended, I spritzed the piece with water from a Distress Sprayer and then blotted dry with a paper towel. A greeting from the Surprise Sentiments Stamp Set was stamped in the upper left corner with black ink. The word, "birthday" was colored with Copic Markers and finished with Glossy Accents. Borders were die cut from smooth white cardstock and vellum using a Landscape Trio Die. The borders were layered along the bottom edge and the rest of the scene was assembled as shown. Nuvo Crystal Drops complete the front of the card.

For the inside, I trimmed a panel slightly more narrow than the card base. The top edge was die cut with a Landscape Trio Die. Additional greetings from the Surprise Sentiments Stamp Set were stamped on the inside panel. Two Pop Up Trio dies were used along the seam of the card.

I used the Dried Marigold and Spun Sugar Distress Inks to the inside upper panel to match the front of the card. The inside panel was secured to the inside of the card and additional images were adhered to the pop ups and to the background scene.

Simon Says Stamp Layering Inks | Friends of Life

Hello friends! Today I'm sharing a clean and simple layering inks stamped flowers card featuring the new Friends Of Life Stamp Set from Simon Says Stamp. Simon Says Stamp has a fantastic selection of dye inks, something for everyone! I'm using a couple of new inks colors from the New Beginnings release, Winter Sky and Dusty Sage.

I die cut a rectangle from smooth white cardstock using a Simon Says Stamp Stitched Rectangle Die. I stamped greetings from the Friends Of Life Stamp Set using Winter Sky Ink and Intense Black Ink. Then I layered inks for the flowers with the different layering stamps from the Friends Of Life Stamp Set. I used Surf Blue for the base layer, Winter Sky for the medium layer, and Caribbean Blue for the final layer. The center even features a fourth color for more interest with the Blue Violet Ink. Leaves were stamped with Dusty Sage and additional dots were stamped with all the blue colors to finish off the pretty floral centerpiece.

I die cut another rectangle from vellum using a Simon Says Stamp Stitched Rectangle Die. I adhered the stamped panel to vellum and then set it aside to work on the card base background.

I stamped the Leaves Background on a white top fold card base using Dusty Sage Ink and then adhered the layered rectangles to the background with foam adhesive.

Lawn Fawn + Xyron Adhesives | "I Love You To The Stars and Back" Card

Happy Monday friends! This week the Lawn Fawn Design Team has teamed up with Xyron to share new projects created with Lawn Fawn stamps and dies and Xyron adhesives! Good adhesive is so important in paper crafting and Xyron offers some amazing products that are staples in my crafting stash! I used one of my favorite new stamp and die sets from the latest release, Out of This World, to create this love-themed outer space card.

For the background, I die cut Bristol Smooth Cardstock with the Snowy Backdrop Die. I applied Peacock Feathers, Chipped Sapphire, Wilted Violet, and Black Soot Distress Inks. I spritzed the background with water from a Distress Sprayer and blotted it dry with a paper towel.

Once the background was completely dry, I backed the whole panel with Stick It. All the little die cut openings on the front now are sticky and are the perfect little "wells" for some glitter! I sprinkled Pumice Stone Distress Glitter over the background and pressed the glitter to the panel to make sure it was good and stuck. The subtle glitter is the perfect accent to this outer space scene.

I die cut two borders for the bottom of the scene from smooth white cardstock and vellum using Puffy Cloud Borders Dies. I adhered both borders to the bottom of the scene using the Teresa Collins Mega Runner adhesive. Greetings from the Out of This World Stamp Set were added along the bottom edge of the smooth white card using Lawn Fawn Jet Black Ink. Stars were also stamped and colored in with Copic Markers.

I stamped an astronaut, planets, and sun from the Out of This World Stamp Set on smooth white cardstock with Lawn Fawn Jet Black Ink and colored in the images with Copic Markers. I die cut the images with the coordinating Out of This World Dies and added adhesive to the back of all the images with the Xyron Sticker 1.5" Makers, making each image a sticker! I added the sticker images to my scene and finished the design by adding Glossy Accents to several of the images.

Waffle Flower Crafts It's In The Details | Cacti Hugs Cards

It's time for my weekly video series, It's In The Details, for the Waffle Flower Inspiration Team. Every week I will share a new video featuring amazing Waffle Flower Stamps and Dies.

Today I'm sharing a couple of new cards featuring the awesome new Stitched Cacti Stamp Set and Stitched Layers Dies. As a cross-stitcher, I am in love with these new stitched design stamp sets! There are four stitched sets, Stitched Cacti, Stitched Roses, Stitched Unicorn, and Stitched Cup of Tea. I'll be sharing more ideas with these awesome new sets in the coming weeks!

I die cut smooth white cardstock with the largest Stitched Layers Die for the inside panel for both cards. I began each design by stamping the cacti images from the Stitched Cacti Stamp Set with Waffle Flower Chirp Chrip Ink and Simon Says Stamp Fern Ink. Using a stamp positioner tool, like the MISTI helps so much with these kinds of stamp building stamp sets.

I stamped the heart for the first card with Waffle Flower My Pleasure Ink. The top flower on each cacti was stamped with the Waffle Flower Tickled Pink Ink. The birds on both cards were stamped with the Waffle Flower Oh Happy Day and New Fish In Pond inks.

Faces, the eye, and the greeting were stamped with black ink for both cards. On the portrait-style card, I stamped the sand piles with Waffle Flower Coffee Loves Milk Ink and Hero Arts Ombre Sand to Chocolate Ink.

I die cut the Stitched Layers Die again from Lawn Fawn Noble Fir Cardstock and adhered both the frame and the stamped panel to a side fold and top fold card base as shown.

Each card were finished with a scattering of Bottle Green and Morning Dew Nuvo Crystal Drops.

Mama Elephant Stamp Highlight | Congrats All Around

Happy Friday friends! Today the Mama Elephant Design Team is showcasing the new Congrats All Around Stamp Set and coordinating Congrats Script Die. I paired this fantastic greeting stamp set with a couple of cute chicks from the Party Animal Stamp Set.

On a 4" x 5 1/4" piece of Bristol Smooth Cardstock, I stamped the chick/rectangle and a greeting from the Congrats All Around Stamp Set with Lawn Fawn Jet Black Ink. I masked the image and inked the background with Squeezed Lemonade and Dried Marigold Distress Inks. I spritzed the background with water from a Distress Sprayer and blotted dry with a paper towel. I stamped a border from the Sentimental Borders Stamp Set at a diagonal on the background using Dried Marigold Distress Ink. I removed the mask and colored in the image and greeting with Copic Markers.

Stick It was applied to both sides of a piece of Fun Foam and on one side I removed the backing paper and adhered smooth white cardstock. Dried Marigold Distress Ink was applied to the greeting and then adhered to the card as shown.

Two chicks and five stars from the Party Animal Stamp Set were stamped on smooth white cardstock with Lawn Fawn Jet Black Ink nd colored with Copic Markers before being die cut with the coordinating Party Animals Dies. The chicks were adhered to the card to appear to be standing on the "Congrats" title. The stars were scattered along the background.

A layer of Orange Marmalade Nuvo Jewel Drops was applied to the die cut greeting and drops were adhered to the background among the stars.

Mama Elephant Stamp Highlight | Timeless Tulips (Watercolored Flowers)

Hi There! Today the Mama Elephant Design Team is showcasing the new Timeless Tulips Stamp Set. I watercolored the images with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers and frames up the watercolored image with a dimensional frame die cut using the Park Avenue Die Collection.

I stamped the floral image from the Timeless Tulips Stamp Set on Bristol Smooth Cardstock using Versamark Ink and heat embossed the image with white embossing powder. I watercolored the image with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers and a water brush pen. Here are the color combinations for each area in the design:

Tulips: 051 Lemon Yellow, 050 Yellow, 023 Scarlet Red

Greenery: 047 May Green, 053 Yellow Green

Ribbon: 050 Yellow

Tag: 064 Oatmeal

Tiny Flowers: 030 Bue

I stamped a greeting from the Timeless Tulips Stamp Set using Lawn Fawn Jet Black Ink. I flecked the backgorund with watered down Gansai Tambi Starry Colors in Champagne Gold and Red Gold for subtle, shimmery distressing in the background.

For the dimensional frame, I adhered Stick It to both sides of a piece of Fun Foam. I removed the backing paper from one side of the Stick It and replaced it with the Simon Says Stamp Spring Green Cardstock and then die cut a dimensional frame using the Park Avenue Die Collection frame die. I adhered the watercolored panel behind the dimensional frame and then adhered the whole thing to a white top fold card base.

I finished the card with a scattering of Pretty Pink Posh Gold Star Confetti and Sparkling Clear sequins.

Lawn Fawn March Inspiration Week | Birthday Little Town Pop Up Card

Welcome to the Lawn Fawn March Inspiration Week!

Today the Lawn Fawn Design Team is featuring the Little Town Pop Up Add Ons, Grassy Hillside Pop Up Add Ons, and Flower Hillside Pop Up Add Ons. I am showcasing the Little Town Pop Up Add On with the Bicycle Built For You stamps and dies for this fun, interactive birthday card.

Watercolor Wishes 6x6 patterned papers were die cut with a Large Stitched Rectangle Die, Stitched Mountain Dies, and Stitched Hillside Borders Dies. The Little Town Border was die cut and pieced together using the yummy Lawn Fawn Cardstock colors. The Road Border were die cut from Storm Cloud and Sunflower Cardstock and adhered along the bottom edge of the card.

A greeting from the Bicycle Built For You Stamp Set was adhered along the road using Versamark Ink and heat embossed with white embossing powder. Images from the Bicycle Built For You Stamp Set were stamped, colored and die cut before being adhered to the front scene.

For the inside scene, I die cut the same Watercolor Wishes 6x6 patterned papers using Large Stitched Rectangle Die and Stitched Mountain Dies. The Stitched Hillside Pop Up was die cut from white cardstock and the Little Town Pop Up Add On was die cut and pieced together using the yummy Lawn Fawn Cardstock colors. I finished stamping the greeting from the Bicycle Built For You Stamp Set and then assembled the pop up to the inside of the card. I added additional images from the Bicycle Built For You Stamp Set to finish the pop up card.
