Mama Elephant Stamp Highlight | Pretty Peonies Card Set

Hello friends! Today the Mama Elephant Design Team is showcasing the gorgeous new Pretty Peonies Stamp Set. I paired these beautiful images with a simple inlay style Lafayette Framed Tags frame and soft watercoloring with the Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers. Nuvo Crystal Drops in Morning Dew completes the look. Using a MISTI to get precise stamping on multiple cards makes this design perfect for creating multiples to keep on hand or give as a gift.

I die cut the frames and inside panels for the inlay cards from Bristol Smooth Cardstock and then used the MISTI to stamp the flowers and greetings from the Pretty Peonies Stamp Set in the center panel of each card using Versamark Ink and heat embossing with white embossing powder. The flowers and background were colored with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers and a water brush pen.

To finish the cards, I applied adhesive to the fronts of side fold card bases and adhered the die cut frame and then the inside panel to each card base. Nuvo Crystal Drops in Morning Dew complete the cards.

Altenew Celebrating Parents Card Drive Blog Hop + Giveaway

Today I'm sharing a Father's Day card featuring the Best Dad Stamp Set and Best Dad Dies. These awesome images are perfect for my dad who always knows how to fix anything! (Even my kids think so!)

Greetings and the cluster of stars from the Best Dad Stamp Set were stamped on Bristol Smooth Cardstock using Versamark Ink and heat embossed with white embossing powder. Faded Jeans Distress Ink was applied over the embossing for embossed resist. I buffed the extra ink off the embossed areas and then spritzed the background with water from a Distress Sprayer before blotting dry with a paper towel. Watered down Black Soot Distress Paint was spalttered over the background and set aside to air dry.

I stamped the images from the Best Dad Stamp Set on Neenah Solar White Smooth Cardstock using black ink and colored in the images with Copic Markers before die cutting with the coordinating Best Dad dies. The images were grouped together as shown and adhered between the two greeting phrases.

The card was finished with a scattering of Pretty Pink Posh Mini Silver Star Confetti.

Lawn Fawn April Inspiration Week | Year Seven Birthday Pinata Card

Hello friends! Today the Lawn Fawn Design Team is showcasing the new Year Seven Stamp Set and coordinating dies. I created a pinata birthday shaker card with this adorable little stamp set and additional Lawn Fawn stamps and dies. The elements adhered to the front of the acetate on the shaker allow them to always be visible with the "shaking" going on inside the shaker.

The pinata and candy from the Year Seven Stamp Set and coordinating dies set were stamped on Bristol Smooth cardstock using Lawn Fawn Jet Black Ink and colored in with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers before being die cut with the Year Seven dies.

The banner was stamped using an image from the Bannertastic Stamp Set. Greetings from the Year Seven Stamp Set were stamped on the banner and then I die cut the image with the coordinating Bannertastic Dies.

For the shaker frame, I used two of the Small Dotted Rectangle Dies and die cut a background from the larger rectangle and a frame by using two of the dies. I applied Salty Ocean and Squeezed Lemonade Distress Inks to the cardstock, spritzed them with water from a Distress Sprayer and blotted it dry with a paper towel. I applied a piece of transparency behind the frame and then applied two layers of foam adhesive all the way around the frame. I added some Pretty Pink Posh seed beads and mini star confetti to the shaker and then removed the backing paper from the foam adhesive and applied the backing to the shaker.

The Year Seven images and banner greeting were adhered to the front of the shaker as shown. Details were added to the pinata and candy images with white and black glaze pens.

A large rectangle was die cut using the largest Zig Zag Rectangle Die, adhered the shaker to the zig zag rectangle and then adhered the whole thing to a top fold card base.

The remaining greeting from the Year Seven was stamped inside the card to finish the design.

Using the patterned papers from the May Kit, I created a background, and frames using Basic Rectangles Dies. The flamingo from the Animation Stamp Set included in the kit was stamped on some of the white cardstock, I created a tab for the slider from leftover black solid paper from the kit. The slider makes the animation come to life!

I adorned the animation slider frame with tiny, tiny die cut flowers using the Mini Flowers and Leaves Dies. The greeting was stamped and die cut using the I See You Stamps and Dies set. I added another greeting inside the card from the stamp set to finish the design.

Nuvo Crystal Drops in Morning Dew adorn the center of the flowers.

Mama Elephant Stampede | Framed Tags Lafayette + GIVEAWAY

Today I'm sharing a pretty floral anniversary card featuring the new Framed Tags Lafayette Dies, Pretty Peonies Stamp Set, and Wishing You Stamp Set. The new frame dies are perfect for so many cards. I combined the frame with the label shape for this design.

The florals from the Pretty Peonies Stamp Set were stamped on Bristol Smooth Cardstock using Versamark Ink and heat embossed with white embossing powder. The florals were colored with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers and watercolored with a water brush pen.

For the frame, I created a sandwich of cardstock/stick it/fun foam/stick it. I backed the frame with a piece of acetate. Vellum was die cut with the label shape from the Lafayette Framed Tags Collection and stamped with the large script greeting from the Wishing You Stamp Set using Versmark Ink and heat embossed with white embossing powder. The label was adhered to the center of the acetate. It almost gives the look of etched glass. 

The frame was adhered over the watercolored background as shown. A greeting from the Wishing You Stamp Set was stamped on black cardstock using Versamark Ink and heat embossed with white embossing powder. The greeting was cut into a thin strip and adhered to the card as shown.

The design was finished with a scattering of Pretty Pink Posh sequins and pearl gemstones.

Lawn Fawn April Inspiration Week | Sewn With Love

Hello friends! Today the Lawn Fawn Design Team is showcasing the Sewn With Love Stamp Set and coordinating dies. As a quilter/sewer I absolutely love this set! It's "sew" cute! So many fabulous projects can be created. I combined the Sewn With Love Stamps and coordinating dies with a Small Cross-Stitched Rectangle Die, and Zig Zag Rectangle Die.

The images from the Sewn With Love Stamp Set were stamped on smooth white cardstock with Lawn Fawn Jet Black Ink and colored with Copic Markers before being die cut with the coordinating dies. 

For the background, I die cut some Bristol Smooth Cardstock with a Small Cross-Stitched Rectangle Die and stamped a greeting from the Sewn With Love Stamp Set with Versmark Ink and heat embossed with white embossing powder. I applied Squeezed Lemonade and Dried Marigold Distress Inks over the background for an embossed resist greeting.

The Sewn With Love images were adhered to the background as shown. The panel was adhered to a Zig Zag Rectangle die cut from smooth white cardstock and the whole thing was adhered to a white side fold card base.

Glossy Accents was applied to parts of the design for a glossy finish.

The May Kit is a fantastic new interactive kit with animation stamps. I'll be sharing an animated flamingo card in a couple of days but today I'm going to share another idea with the card kit, for those who want traditional card ideas for the other components in the kit! I used one of the watercolor preprinted panels with Distress Inks and a water brush pen for this fun flamingo card.

The flamingo was watercolored with Spun Sugar, Picked Raspberry, and Abandoned Coral Distress Inks. The beak was colored with Black Soot, Carved Pumpkin, and Abandoned Coral Distress Inks. The water was watercolored with Salty Ocean and Blueprint Sketch Distress Inks, the heart was watercolored with Barn Door Distress Ink, and the sky and eye were watercolored with Squeezed Lemonade and Wild Honey Distress Inks. Once dry, I added detail to the watercolored design with a white glaze pen. I die cut the panel with a Stitched Rectangle Die.

An additional greeting from the Thankful Heart Stamp Set was stamped on black cardstock using Versamark Ink and heat embossed white embossing powder. I trimmed the phrase into a thin strip and then adhered the strip over the watercolored background as shown.

Glossy Accents was added to the heart, beak, and eye of the background. Nuvo Crystal Drops in Red Berry, Carnation Pink, and Pale Gold were adhered to the panel and then I adhered the whole thing to a top fold card base.

Waffle Flower Crafts It's In The Details | Circle Framed Happy Day Scene

It's time for my weekly video series, It's In The Details, for the Waffle Flower Inspiration Team. Every week I will share a new video featuring amazing Waffle Flower Stamps and Dies. 

Framing up images is one of my favorite ways to create a scene. It’s fun to mix it up a bit with the Flower Circles Inverted Dies. Placing some of the Happy Day elements inside the frame and some around the outside of the frame give the card a cohesive look. Distress Inks were added to the panel and background to perfectly match the Copic colored Happy Day images.

The images from the Happy Day Stamp Set were stamped on Neenah white cardstock with Lawn Fawn Jet Black Ink and colored in with Copic Markers before being die cut with Happy Day Dies.

To create the frame, I die cut a circle frame from Bristol Smooth Cardstock using a Flower Circles Inverted Die. A greeting from the Happy Day Stamp Set was stamped along the bottom edge of the card with Versamark Ink and heat embossed with white embossing powder. I applied Victorian Velvet and Aged Mahogany Distress Inks to the frames with Mini Ink Blending tools for the embossed resist look.

Another piece of Bristol Smooth Cardstock was trimmed to fit behind the frame and inked with Crushed Olive and Forest Moss Distress Inks. The Distress Sprayer was used on the frames and background and the water was blotted dry with a paper towel.

I popped up the die cut frames with a bit of foam adhesive to give a bit of dimension to the scene and then applied all the die cu tHappy Day images. 

The remaining Happy Day greeting was stamped inside the card. Simple details were added to the stamped images with white, black, and stardust glitter pens and a bit of Glossy Accents.

Altenew’s 3rd Anniversary Blog Hop + Giveaway

Today I'm sharing this floral hello card featuring the gorgeous Amazing You Stamp Set and coordinating dies and a little no-line watercolor with Distress Inks. The florals are grouped to frame up a greeting from the Amazing You Stamp Set and finished with some Nuvo Crystal Drops in Morning Dew.

I trimmed a background from Bristol Smooth Cardstock to 4" x 5 1/4" and inked the background with Twisted Citron and Squeezed Lemonade Distress Inks. I spritzed the background with water from a Distress Sprayer and then blotted it dry with a paper towel. Once completely dry, I used the MISTI to stamp greetings from the Amazing You Stamp Set with black ink.

The florals and greenery from the Amazing You Stamp Set were stamped on Bristol Smooth Cardstock with Mowed Lawn, Fossilized Amber, and Abandoned Coral Distress Inks then watercolored with a water brush pen, additional ink in those same colors with a bit of Twisted Citron and Fired Brick layered in as well. Once dry the images were die cut with the coordinating Amazing You Dies.

The images were arranged to frame up the greeting with the excess hanging off the edges trimmed. The panel was attached to a top fold white card base and finished with Nuvo Crystal Drops In Morning Dew scattered throughout the design and Red Berry Drops applied to the centers of the red flowers.

Concord & 9th Rainbow Fill In Flower Backgrounds Cards

Hello friends! Today I'm excited to share some clean and simple rainbow floral cards using some awesome new products from Concord & 9th. The Floral Fill In Patterned Papers are fantastic for customizing with whatever ink colors you like. I couldn't pick and created a rainbow assortment of flowers for bright and colorful cards! The Floral Fill In Stencils are a two step stencil design for awesome two-colored florals. I finished each card with a simple stamped and embossed sentiment from the Fill In Phrases Stamp Set.

The designs of the Floral Fill In Patterned Papers make it so easy to create your own colorful floral backgrounds with the Floral Fill In Stencils. For each background, I stenciled Distress Inks in Picked Raspberry, Barn Door, Carved Pumpkin, Abandoned Coral, Squeezed Lemonade, Fossilized Amber, Twisted Citron, Mowed Lawn, Peacock Feathers, Salty Ocean, Wilted Violet, and Seedless Preserves through the Floral Fill In Stencils. I die cut each 6x6 paper with the A2 sized Lawn Fawn Large Stitched Rectangle Die and adhered the background to a white top fold card base.

I die cut a smaller rectangle from vellum using another Lawn Fawn Large Stitched Rectangle Die and stamped a large greeting from the Fill In Phrases Stamp Set on each using Versamark Ink and heat embossed with black embossing powder before adhering over the background of each card.

Each card was finished with a scattering of colorful Pretty Pink Posh sequins.
