This fantastic release features amazing stamps, dies, sequins, and watercolor papers perfect for all your springtime, Mother's Day, and Father's Day cardmaking! Today I'm sharing a card featuring the brand new Cora Background Stamp and Mom and Dad Icons Set. The Cora Background Stamp is perfect for all kinds of techniques. I stamped the image with Versamark Ink and heat embossed with white embossing powder before coloring with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers and a water brush pen.
I stamped the Cora Background Stamp on Bristol Smooth Cardstock using Versamark Ink and heat embossed with white embossing powder. The MISTI is fantastic for stamping large backgrounds on paper and getting perfect placement.
The background was colored in with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers and a water brush pen. I just love the soft, watercolored look.
For the greeting strip, I trimmed a piece of vellum for the center of the card. I love vellum for muting the background slightly but you can still see the amazing background design through it! I stamped a phrase from the Mom and Dad Icons Set using Versamark Ink and heat embossed with white embossing powder.
I stamped the "M's" and flower on Bristol Smooth Cardstock using Lawn Fawn Jet Black Ink and colored in the images with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers, finishing with a layer of Wink of Stella Clear Glitter Brush Pen for a touch of sparkle. Because the Zig Markers are water based, the glitter pen will pick up the color from the coloring, so be sure to clean off the tip as to not transfer one color to another area.
I adhered the letters and flower to Fun Foam and attached them to the vellum border strip as shown. An additional greeting was stamped inside the card and flower sequins from the Little Princess Sequins were adhered to the design of the card to add to the background detail.
