It's time for my weekly video series, It's In The Details, for the Waffle Flower Inspiration Team. Every week I will share a new video featuring amazing Waffle Flower Stamps and Dies. Today I'm sharing a spring-themed scene card with the Welcome Spring Stamp Set and coordinating dies. The Chunky Grass Border and a Stitched Layer Die add some dimension and framing to this sweet little scene!
I stamped the images from the Welcome Spring Stamp Set with Lawn Fawn Jet Black Ink and colored the images in with Copic Markers before die cutting with the coordinating Welcome Spring Dies.
The frame was die cut from Bristol Smooth Cardstock using the largest Stitched Layer Die. I applied Squeezed Lemonade and Twisted Citron Distress Inks to the frame and inside panel with an Ink Blending Tool. Water from a Distress Sprayer was spritzed over the inside panel and then blotted dry with a paper towel. A border was die cut from another piece of Bristol Smooth Cardstock using the Chunky Grass Border. Twisted Citron was applied to the border and then I adhered the border along the bottom edge of the inside panel to start building the spring scene.
A greeting from the Welcome Spring Stamp Set was stamped along the top in the center of the background panel using black ink.
I adhered the die cut images to finish building the spring scene and finished by adding detail to the eyes with a black glaze pen and detail to the sheep's cheeks and highlights to the flowers and butterflies with a white opaque pen.
