Hello friends! Today I'm sharing a fresh and fun Mother's Day card featuring Lawn Fawn stamps and dies. The adorable owls from the Mom + Me Stamp Set are some of my favorite images and form the most adorable scene set atop the large "Happy" from the Happy Happy Happy Stamp Set.
For the circle background, I die cut a Small Dotted Circle from Bristol Smooth Cardstock and blended Dried Marigold and Picked Raspberry Distress Inks before spritzing with water from a Distress Sprayer and blotting dry with a paper towel. I die cut a Zig Zag Circle Stackable and matted the distressed circle on top.
The solid images from the Mom + Me Stamp Set were stamped on smooth white cardstock using the following color combinations:
- GRASS: Celery Stick, Jalapeno
- PINK FLOWER: Ballet Slippers, Plastic Flamingo
- YELLOW FLOWERS: Sunflower, Carrot
- HEART: Plastic Flamingo, Lobster
I used the MISTI to stamp the images and by using two colors was able to achieve more depth and dimension to these solid image designs!
The owls from the Mom + Me Stamp Set and the large "Happy" greeting from the Happy Happy Happy Stamp Set were stamped on solid white cardstock using Lawn Fawn Jet Black Ink and then colored with Copic Markers.
The greeting and images were die cut with the coordinating Mom + Me Dies and Happy Happy Happy Dies and then run through the Xyron Sticker Maker and adhered to the distress inked circle as shown.
A banner was die cut from smooth white cardstock using a Fancy Folder Banner Die and the rest of the greeting from the Happy Happy Happy Stamp Set was stamped with Plastic Flamingo and Carrot inks on the banner. The banner was adhered below the word "Happy" with foam adhesive for a bit of dimension.
Additional little heart from the Mom + Me Stamp Set were stamped around the circle using Plastic Flamingo and Lobster Inks.
For the lattice work background, I die cut two Stripey Backdrops from Bristol Smooth Cardstock and inked them with the same colors as the Distress Inked circle as shown. The backdrops were spritzed with water from a Distress Sprayer and then blotted dry with a paper towel.
The panels were adhered to a white top fold card base and the card was finished by adhering the embellished circle to the card with foam adhesive and stamping a greeting from the Mom + Me Stamp Set inside the card.
