Welcome to the Lawn Fawn Summer Release May Inspiration Week! Today the Design Team is sharing projects with the awesome new You're Claw-some Stamp Set and coordinating dies. Making the claw interactive with a Slide On Over die on the front of the card and adding a Simple Gift Slot under a Lift The Flap die on the inside adds to the wow factor for this interactive design.
For the front of the card, the claw machine, claw, and individual bears from the You're Claw-some Stamp Set were stamped on smooth white cardstock using Lawn Fawn Jet Black Ink. The images were colored in with Copic Markers and then die cut with the coordinating You're Claw-some Dies and a Slide On Over die was used on along the top of the claw machine.
The claw and a teddy bear were adhered and then the top of the claw was secured to a MFT Slider Element with Glossy Accents. I set aside the element to dry while I worked on the background of the front of the card.
A panel was die cut from Storm Cloud Cardstock using a Small Dotted Rectangle Die. I stamped constellations on the background with images from the Upon A Star Stamp Set using Versamark Ink and heat embossing with clear embossing powder. I die cut a slider track in the background with the same Slide On Over die. The claw machine was secured to the panel and then the slider was assembled by placing a clear die cut acetate circle behind the slider track adhered with Glossy Accents. The clear circle/slider was important here because a penny or other colorful slider mechanism would show when the slider moves back and forth. The clear slider doesn't take away from the look of the card!
A banner was die cut from Black Licorice Cardstock using an Extra Sentiment Banner die and a greeting from the You're Claw-some Stamp Set was stamped on the banner with Versamark Ink and heat embossed with white embossing powder. The banner was attached to the card base as shown.
Two layers of foam adhesive were adhered to the back of the panel, making sure to leave a bit of space around the slider, and then adhered to a white cardstock die cut Zig Zag Rectangle.
The card front was finished with Silver Moondust Nuvo Crystal Drops in the center of the stars and Black Ebony Nuvo Crystal Drops scattered throughout the background.
On the inside of the card, a background panel was created from smooth white cardstock using a Zig Zag Rectangle die and a Simple Gift Slot was die cut into the panel. Another panel was die cut from Storm Cloud Cardstock using a Small Dotted Rectangle Die and a Lift The Flap Die was used to create a flap that opens up to reveal the gift card held in place with the Gift Slots. The flap was stamped with greetings from You're Claw-some and Push Here using Versamark Ink and heat embossed with white embossing powder. Another claw and bear were stamped, colored, and die cut to adorn the flap and finish the design.
