Welcome! Today the Mama Elephant Design Team is featuring the brand new Summer Days Stamp Set and coordinating dies. I adore the sweet little critters in this new stamp set and how fantastic they are for creating all kinds of great summer scene greeting cards! I paired the new Summer Days images with a sentiment from Sweetest Greetings and the All Prettied Up frames, Ocean Wave Trio Dies, and Landscape Trio Dies.
A frame was die cut from smooth white cardstock using the All Prettied Up frames. Borders were die cut from Bristol Smooth Cardstock using the Ocean Wave Trio Dies and Landscape Trio Dies. A greeting from the Sweetest Greetings was stamped on the "beach" using Versamark Ink and heat embossed with white embossing powder. Antique Linen and Gathered Twigs Distress Inks were used to color the sandy beach. Salty Ocean Distress Ink was used to color the waves. The borders were spritzed with water from a Distress Sprayer and blotted dry with a paper towel.
One border was trimmed down and adhered to the card base. The other wave was adhered behind the frame opening and the whole frame was secured to a card base with foam adhesive. The sandy beach was adhered along the bottom edge of the panel as shown.
The images from the Summer Days Stamp Set were stamped on smooth white cardstock using Lawn Fawn Jet Black Ink and colored in with Copic Markers and die cut with the Summer Days dies. The images were adhered to the scene as shown to complete the design.
