Welcome to the Lawn Fawn June Inspiration Week!
Today the Lawn Fawn Design Team is featuring the mini Aloha Stamp Set and coordinating dies and the Scripty Aloha Die. I've paired these with a custom Distress Oxide inked plaid background for a happy, summery card!
The pineapple and sunglasses from the Aloha Stamp Set was stamped on Bristol Smooth Cardstock using Lawn Fawn Jet Black Ink and colored in with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers. Once colored, the images were die cut with the coordinating Aloha Dies.
For the background, a panel was die cut from Neenah Smooth Cardstock using an Outside In Stitched Rectangle. The edges were masked off with post it tape and more post it tape was used to mask stripes across the panel. Peeled Paint and Fossilized Amber Distress Oxide Inks were used to create a plaid background. Once the inking was done, the masks were removed and Mustard Seed and Tarnished Brass Distress Paints was watered down and flecked over the background.
The greeting phrase from the Aloha Stamp Set was stamped using Lawn Fawn Jet Black Ink. The Scripty Aloha Die was die cut from cardstock adhered to Fun Foam and inked with the same Distress Oxide Ink colors as the inked background. The dimensional greeting was adhered to the card and finished with a layer of Glossy Accents.
The eyes and/or mouths, and sunglasses on each of the pineapples was colored with a Sakura Black Glaze Pen to make them pop. The pineapples were adhered to the card as shown to complete the design.
