Today the Lawn Fawn and Tombow Design Teams are joining forces to show how well each companies products work together! For my card I'm sharing a couple of used for the Tombow Dual Brush Markers with Lawn Fawn stamps and dies. Not only are the Dual Brush Markers great for coloring images but they create fantastic watercolor backgrounds as well! Let's get started...
I decided to combine multiple fruit-related images from lots of stamp sets for this cute scene. The pineapple is from the Aloha Stamp Set, the strawberries and blueberries from the So Smooth Stamp Set, the watermelon from the Happy Summer Stamp Set, the lemonade pitcher from the Make Lemonade Stamp Set, and the apples from the Thanks a Bushel Stamp Set. The images were stamped on Bristol Smooth Cardstock using the Lawn Fawn Jet Black Ink and then colored with the Tombow Dual Brush Markers in Carmine, Orange, Process Yellow, Chartreuse, Willow, Glacier, Imperial Purple, and a Blender Pen.
Once colored sunglasses from the Aloha Stamp Set and the So Smooth Stamp Set were stamped on the pineapple and one of the apples. Faces from the Thanks a Bushel Stamp Set were stamped on the strawberries. The images were die cut with the Aloha Dies, So Smooth Dies, Happy Summer Dies, Make Lemonade Dies, and Thanks A Bushel Dies. Detail was added to the images with a black glaze pen and Glossy Accents on the lemonade pitcher.
The frame was created by die cutting Canson Watercolor Paper with two of the Outside In Stitched Rectangles. For the watercolor effect that matches the stamped and colored images, I scribbled the Tombow Dual Brush Markers on a kraft mat, spritzed them with water from a Distress Sprayer and pressed the frame and insert into the ink to add color. I dried the background with a heat tool and then spritzed the background again with water. The water droplets wicked away part of the ink, adding even more distressing to the background.
Once dry, greetings from the Happy Happy Happy Stamp Set were stamped under the frame opening using Lawn Fawn Black Licorice Ink. The large word "Happy" was stamped on Bristol Smooth Cardstock and colored in with the same Tombow Dual Brush Markers as the other images before being die cut with the Happy Happy Happy Die and adhered between the two stamped phrases to finish the greeting.
The images were adhered along the bottom edge of the frame opening and hearts from the Thanks a Bushel Stamp Set were stamped and colored in with Tombow Dual Brush Markers to finish the scene.
The whole panel was adhered to a top fold card base with foam adhesive.
