Hello friends! Today I'm sharing a Designer Series card featuring the brand new Mermaid Kisses Stamps and coordinating dies. These awesome images make the most amazing underwater scenes and when paired with my favorite new Tri Window Die and some foam adhesive, that underwater scene becomes an underwater shaker scene!
A frame was die cut from Canson Watercolor Cardstock using the Tri Window Die and then the frame and an A2 (4 1/4" x 5 1/2") background were pressed into Cracked Pistachio, Broken China, and Faded Jeans Distress Oxide Inks that had been sprayed with water. I messed with the backgrounds by spritzing with additional water for distressing. On the solid background the Simon Says Stamp Waves Stencil was used for added interest. The same colors of Distress Oxide Ink were used for tone-on-tone. Distress Paint splatters were added to the background with Cracked Pistachio, Broken China, and Picket Fence Distress Paint.
The images from Mermaid Kisses were stamped on Neenah Smooth White Cardsock using a black ink for Copic Coloring. Multiple images of the fish and seaweed were stamped to fill in the underwater scene. Once the images were colored, I die cut them with the coordinating Mermaid Kisses Dies and adhered them to the background of the scene.
Acetate was adhered to the back of the Tri Window frame and a greeting from Mermaid Kisses was stamped in the top window using Jet Black StazOn Ink. Two layers of foam adhesive were adhered to the back of the frame and the shaker "wells" were filled with micro beads and seed beads before the back of the shaker was adhered. The shaker was adhered to a white top fold card base to finish the design.
