One of my favorite things to do when creating cards is to mix and match stamps and dies from different companies to create a truly unique card. These Mix & Match Monday cards feature the awesome MFT Radiating Rays Stencil and Distress Inks to create rainbow backgrounds for the adorable Winnie & Walter Big Hugs Stamp Set. A rainbow background is perfect for many different cards but you could use any color combination to create amazing backgrounds!
Background rectangles were die cut from Bristol Smooth Cardstock using a Simon Says Stamp Wonky Rectangles Die or a Winnie & Walter Lana Die. The MFT Radiating Rays Stencil was used with Picked Raspberry, Candied Apple, Carved Pumpkin, Squeezed Lemonade, Twisted Citron, Peacock Feathers, Salty Ocean, and Wilted Violet Distress Inks. Any colors can be used to create lots of different background looks. The bright rainbow colors of these backgrounds is the superstar of this design.
Cute animal images from the adorable Winnie & Walter Big Hugs Stamp Set were stamped on smooth white cardstock using Lawn Fawn Jet Black Ink and colored in with Copic Markers before being die cut with the coordinating dies. The critters were adhred to the center of the backgrounds. Greetings from the same stamp sets were stamped with Versamark Ink and heat embossed with white embossing powder.
Heart accents were die cut from smooth white cardstock and colored with Candied Apple Distress Ink and then adhered to the backgrounds as shown. A layer of Glossy Accents on each give the accents a nice glossy finish.
