This bokeh patterned paper from the kit was the first one that "spoke" to me when I opened up the kit. I knew immediately that I wanted to create a card with this paper as the focus. The confetti mix, Sea You Soon Stamp Set, acetate, and foam adhesive from the kit paired with this patterned paper make the perfect easy shaker card! All the stamping on this simple card was done on the acetate shaker window by layering black and white StazOn Ink. Let's get started!
The shaker backer and acetate were die cut with the largest Stitched Rectangle Die. The frame and patterned background were die cut using two of the dies. By making the frame and background from the dies the awesome design of the patterned paper gets to take center stage!
Using the MISTI to line up the stamps for the acetate, I stamped the clouds from the Sea You Soon Stamp Set using Cotton White StazOn Ink. Then I layered the greeting and birds from the stamp set over the stamped cloud images using Jet Black StazOn Ink. The inking is all done on the acetate window, leaving the inside of the shaker free for the patterned paper to perfectly compliment the stamping!
The stamped acetate was adhered behind the frame with a strong adhesive and then two layers of the foam adhesive included in the kit was used around all four sides. The shaker was filled with the confetti mix from the kit and then the shaker backer was adhered to finish the shaker design. The shaker was adhered to a top fold card base and this clean and simple summer hello shaker card is all finished!
