Today I paired the adorable new Fingerprint Doodles Stamp Set with the Big Greetings Stamp Set from the new release and the Wave Stencil and Irregular Dots Stencil from previous releases. Simon Says Stamp dye inks were used for all the solid stamping and even used with an Ink Dusting Tool and the stencils for the backgrounds.
On smooth white cardstock trimmed down to 4" x 5 1/4". The fish shape from the Fingerprint Doodles Stamp Set and greetings from the Big Greetings Stamp Set and Fingerprint Doodles Stamp Set were stamped using Simon Says Stamp Black Ink. Simon Says Stamp dye inks in Hollyhock, Hot Lips, Clementine, Duckling, Green Apple, Scuba, Blue Jay, and Lavender were used to stamp the fingerprint images from the Fingerprint Doodles Stamp Set.
To give the illusion of fish in water, the Wave Stencil was placed over the scene and Maliblue Ink was applied using an Ink Dusting Tool. I've found that I get a much more even application of dye ink when I use an ink duster rather than a foam tool. The subtle waves are the perfect background to these cute fingerprint fish!
The word "congrats" was colored in with Copic Markers in rainbow color to match the design of the card.
On another piece of smooth white cardstock trimmed down to 4" x 5 1/4", the Irregular Dots Stencil was used to create the look of "cheese" using Duckling ink with the Ink Dusting Tool. Greetings from the Big Greetings Stamp Set and Fingerprint Doodles Stamp Set were stamped using Simon Says Stamp Black Ink and colored in like the greeting from the first card.
Mice images from the Fingerprint Doodles Stamp Set were stamped with Simon Says Stamp Black Ink and Stone Ink was used to stamped the fingerprint part of the image. A pink Copic marker was used to color in the ears.
