It's time for my weekly video series, It's In The Details, for the Waffle Flower Inspiration Team. Every week I will share a new video featuring amazing Waffle Flower Stamps and Dies.
One of my favorite ways to add dimension without bulk is to add vellum layers to a card scene. Vellum is fantastic for muting something that might be too bold or bright and it also makes a great layering accent like the stamped and embossed clouds from the Across The Miles Stamp Set that I used for my card today.
A background was die cut from Bristol Smooth Cardstock using a Patched Layers die. Clouds from Across The Miles were stamped using Versamark Ink and heat embossed with white embossing powder before being inked over with Salty Ocean and Tumbled Glass Distress Ink for embossed resist clouds. Additional clouds were stamped and embossed on vellum before being die cut with the coordinating Across The Miles dies and layered over the background. Bright hot air balloon images and cute birds were stamped on smooth white cardstock and colored in with Copic Markers before being die cut and added to the card design. A greeting and banner from Across The Miles was stamped and embossed on vellum and then wrapped around the large hot air balloon for the card sentiment. An additional sentiment was stamped inside the card to finish the design.
