Good Morning Crafty Friends!
Swim along with Honey Bee Stamps New Release - Under The Sea with Honey Bee!
Everything is available for purchase today in our shop HERE.
For my card share today, I created a single layer scene card with the new Swimming By and Under The Sea stamp sets and then created a dimensional pop up greeting with a previously released Large Thanks Die. The greeting was die cut right from the background and adhered on additional die cuts so that even though it's raised up you don't lose a bit of the scene!
Images from the new Swimming By and Under The Sea stamp sets were stamped on a 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" piece of Bristol Cardstock using Jet Black Ink. Greetings from the Swimming By Stamp Set were stamped as well. The images were colored in with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers. The background to the scene was colored with watered down markers.
Once dry, the background was die cut with an A2 Double Stitched Frame Die. This gives a fairly flat, simple design a bit of interest around the outer edges. Simple stitching is always my favorite way to add detail around the edges.
Underneath the stamped greetings, I die cut a Large Thanks Die from the stamped and colored background and set the die cut pieces to the side. Four additional "Thanks" die cuts were cut from white cardstock. The background was adhered to a white side fold card base and the "thanks" was inlaid with a white die cut, and the insides of the loops with the stamped and colored pieces. The remaining white die cuts were adhered one on top of another to build up the greeting. The sentiment was finished with the stamped and colored die cut word.
Detail was added to the colored images with a white opaque pen and Glossy Accents. Sequins scattered throughout the design finish this fun thank you card!
