Happy Independence Day to my USA friends! I'm so excited to again be guest designing for My Favorite Things today with a patriotic card. These patriotic fairies are wishing a fairy happy birthday in their sweet little red and blue outfits.
The Fairy Happy images were stamped on smooth white cardstock using a black ink and colored in with Copic Markers before being die cut with the coordinating Happy Fairy Dies.
A background for the images was created with the Clouds Stencil and a bit of Tumbled Glass Distress Ink. The Stitched Star Grid Dies were used along the top edge of the background for hanging star accents that perfectly match the adorable fairies. Color was added to the hanging stars with Candied Apple and Salty Ocean Distress Inks.
The butterfly trails and greeting from the Fairy Happy stamp set were stamped with black ink directly on the background and the design was finished with a scattering of Pretty Pink Posh Sparkling Clear sequins in both 4mm and 6mm sizes.
