Thank you for joining me today! Metallic watercoloring on a darker cardstock is one of my favorite techniques and instantly adds an elegant look to any card design. The Zen Ocean large background is perfect for this technique and looks amazing watercolored on a teal background, adorned with a mermaid from Under The Sea and greetings from the Kindness Dies and Stamp Set.
The large circle image from the Zen Ocean was stamped with Versamark Ink on teal cardstock and heat embossed with gold embossing powder. The images were watercolored with Gansai Tambi Starry Colors and a water brush pen. The metallic colors of the paints give an awesome elegant look to the background.
A mermaid from the Under The Sea Stamp Set was stamped on smooth white cardstock using black ink and colored in with Copic Markers before being die cut with the coordinating die. The mermaid was adhered to the card as shown and detail was added to her hair, top, and mermaid tail using a white opaque pen and stardust glitter pen.
For the greeting, sentiment phrases from the Kindness Stamp Set were stamped on black cardstock using Versamark Ink and heat embossed with gold embossing powder before being trimmed into a thin strip and adhered to the card as shown.
Stick It was adhered to the front and back of Fun Foam and then gold cardstock was adhered to one side before being die cut with the Kindness Dies. The dimensional greeting was adhered above the sentiment strip, the background was trimmed and adhered to a white top fold card base, and Glossy Accents was applied to the bubbles in the background for shine and dimension.
