Welcome to the Lawn Fawn August Inspiration Week!
Today the Lawn Fawn Design Team is showcasing the new Costume Party stamps and dies and Village Border Die. I paired these products for a Halloween scene card. A bit of Distress Oxide inking for the sky and a contrasting color of cardstock behind the openings in the village border make for a fantastic non-spooky Halloween card!
Greetings from the Costume Party were stamped on Bristol Smooth Cardstock using Versamark Ink and heat embossed with white embossing powder. Peacock Feathers, Wilted Violet, and Black Soot Distress Oxide Inks were adhered over the greeting for embossed resist. The background was spritzed with water from a Distress Sprayer and blotted dry. Picket Fence, Black Soot, and Tarnished Brass Distress Paints were flicked over the sky for additional distressing and interest.
The Village Border was die cut from Black Licorice Cardstock and the small rectangles were die cut from Sunflower Cardstock and placed behind the window openings in the village border. Wink of Stella Clear Glitter Brush Pen was used over the windows for a bit of glitter and the border was adhered to the inked background as shown.
Stitched Hillside Borders were die cut from Noble Fir Cardstock, inked with Black Soot Distress Oxide Ink, and adhered along the bottom edge of the scene. The ink mutes the green color a bit making it match the rest of the scene better.
Images from the Costume Party Stamp Set were stamped on smooth white cardstock using Jet Black Ink, colored in with Copic Markers, and die cut with the coordinating dies before being adhered to the card to finish the design.
