I can hardly believe it but Christmas crafting has begun. I think with this card, it marks my first official Christmas card for 2017! The earlier we start our Christmas card-making, the more we can enjoy the holiday season! This little sweet scene card features lots of new stamps and dies from the Fall & Winter 2017 Lawn Fawn Release.
The frames were created with the new Portrait Stitched Hillside Backdrop. The white frame was inked with Salty Ocean Distress Ink, spritzed with water from a Distress Sprayer and blotted dry. Another frame was die cut from vellum and I trimmed off the top part of the frame, keeping only the bottom waves. These were adhered over the bottom of the frame to help give the illusion of water.
From the panel leftover from the smooth white cardstock die cut frame, a Stitched Mountain Border was die cut and very lightly inked with Tumbled Glass Distress Ink. The mountains were adhered to a white top fold card base and topped with die cut snow caps.
Birch Trees were die cut from smooth white cardstock, lightly inked with Pumice Stone Distress Ink and adhered over the mountain background.
Vellum was die cut using an A2 sized Stitched Rectangle Die. Sentiments from the Winter Otter Stamp Set were stamped with Versamark Ink and embossed with Lawn Fawn Silver Embossing Powder. Snowflakes from the Beary Happy Holidays Stamp Set were stamped with Versamark Ink and heat embossed with Lawn Fawn White Embossing Powder. The panel was secured behind the front frame to give the illusion of a snowy forest with a lake in the forefront.
Images from the Beary Happy Holidays Set and Winter Otter Set were stamped on smooth white cardstock, colored with Copic Markers, and die cut with the coordinating dies. The images were adhered to the scene as shown to finish the design.
