Simon Says Stamp | STAMPtember Hooray Card Kit

Welcome to the final day of Simon Says Stamp's STAMPtember event! I hope you all have enjoyed the month-long celebration as much as I have! Today Simon Says Stamp unveiled a limited edition Card Kit called Hooray! Jam packed with patterned papers, cardstock, stamps, stickers, and more, this kit is a fantastic value! I whipped up a couple of quick card with the kit. One with the stamps, adding coloring, some patterned paper and cardstock to the design and one super simple using only pre-made embellishments from the kit (with one small stamped sentiment)!

My first card share features the Dream Come True Stamp Set from the Hooray Card Kit, as well as patterned paper from the Pebbles Happy Hooray 6x6 paper pad and Royal Purple Cardstock. Using some partial masking, I created a simple scene with the castle and cloud images from the Dream Come True Stamp Set and stamped a couple of sentiments next to the scene using Versafine Black Ink. The images were colored with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers. Hearts were stamped with Simon Says Stamp Clementine, Hot Mama, and Scuba Inks. The stamped border was adhered to the center of one of the included side fold cards from the kit and borders of cardstock and patterned paper were tucked underneath the top and bottom. I purposely chose marker colors to compliment the stripes in the patterned paper! Glossy Accents adds a simple dimensional touch to parts of the stamped design.

My second card share features almost all pre-made items from the kit. I love being able to create a fantastic card in just minutes. Imagine all the great cards you can create with the stickers and glitter shaker stickers from the kit! 

The background of the card was created with Audrey Blue Cardstock, Island Blue Cardstock, and a Pebbles Happy Hooray 6x6 patterned paper. On the Island Blue cardstock strip I stamped a greeting from the Dream Come True Stamp Set with Versamark Ink and heat embossed with white embossing powder. Stickers from the Glitter Girl sticker and washi book folder and a glitter shaker sticker were adhered along the border and top of the card design. The design was adhered to one of the side fold cards included in the kit.

Simon Says Stamp STAMPtember | Honey Bee Stamps Remarkable You

Hello my stamping-loving friends!

Today Simon Says Stamp has unveiled their final collaboration stamp/die set for STAMPtember 2017 from Honey Bee Stamps, Remarkable You. This fantastic greeting stamp set pairs with your other stamp sets for sentiments that work all year long.

The awesome critters image from the Forest Friends Stamp Set was stamped on Neenah Desert Storm Cardstock using Versafine Ink and colored in with Prismacolor Colored Pencils and blended with a blender pencil.

Part of the greetings from the Remarkable You Stamp Set were stamped with Versafine Ink. The large scripty word from the Remarkable You Stamp Set was stamped with white pigment ink first, then the paper slightly shifted and stamped with Candied Apple Distress Oxide Ink and heat embossed with clear embossing powder.

The background was trimmed to 4" x 5 1/4" and adhered to a white side fold card base.

The card was finished with a scattering of Nuvo Crystal Drops in Autumn Red, Simply White, and Ebony Black. Glossy Accents was applied to the hearts and noses of the critters.

Mama Elephant | Holly's Snowflakes

Hello there stamping friends! I'm so glad you're joining me today!

Today the Mama Elephant is showcasing the new Holly's Snowflakes Stamp Set. I paired this awesome snowflake stamp set with the new Scallop Mini Box Dies, Flurries Dies, Retro Holiday Labels stamps, Mini Messages stamps, and Mini Tags Dies to make a trio of adorable gift boxes!

The boxes were created by die cutting two panels from the Scallop Mini Box Dies. The top panel of each box was stamped with Holly's Snowflakes using white pigment ink. I love the assortment of snowflake designs in this fantastic basics stamp set!

Each box top was backed with a piece of acetate. The clear window for the red lidded box was stamped with a Retro Holiday Label greeting using Cotton White StazOn Ink.

Snowflakes were die cut from white glitter paper using the new Flurries Dies and adhered to the center of the windows for the other two boxes.

Mini tags were die cut using the Mini Tags Dies. Greetings from the Mini Messages Stamp Set were stamped on the tags were Versamark Ink and heat embossed with white embossing powder. Thin red string was threaded through each tag and knotted. 

Greetings from the Occasional Labels Stamp Set were stamped on white cardstock with Versafine Ink and cut out, leaving a thin white border. The greetings were adhered over the center of the snowflakes on the boxes using foam adhesive and securing the mini tags to each.

Mama Elephant | A Cookie Christmas

Hello! Today the Mama Elephant Design Team is showcasing the new A Cookie Christmas Stamp Set and coordinating dies. I framed up the amazing gingerbread house, added some cute critters, stamped a greeting from Sentiments From Yeti, and sugared up my gingerbread house with some Prisma Glitter!

The frame for my card was die cut using a Hexastar Die and Framed Tags Union Square Die. The background was lighted inked with Twisted Citron Distress Ink, spritzed with water from a Distress Sprayer and blotted dry. A greeting from the Sentiments From Yeti was stamped below the frame opening using Versafine Ink.

The gingerbread house, bunny, reindeer, and heart from the A Cookie Christmas Stamp Set were stamped on Bristol Smooth Cardstock using Versafine Ink and colored in with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers. The images were die cut using the coordinating dies. Glossy Accents was applied to parts of the images and Prisma Glitter was added to give them a "sugared" look.

The background was adhered to a white top fold card base and the frame was adhered with foam adhesive to give it a bit of dimension. The gingerbread house was adhered inside the frame and the critters were adhered as shown using foam adhesive squares.

Simon Says Stamp STAMPtember | Poppy Stamps Magical Wishes

Just four more days of STAMPtember! (insert crying face)

I can't believe how fast this month has flown by! Today I have a scene card created by using liquid masking fluid over the images and inking, spritzing with water, and paint splattering the background, before removing them dry masking fluid and coloring the images in with markers! I wasn't sure it I would like this way of masking or not but I'm here to tell you that I am sold! I will definitely be using this masking technique again and again! This card features the new limited edition Poppy Stamps Magical Wishes Stamp Set. Available while supplies last!

The images from the Poppy Stamps Magical Wishes Stamp Set were stamped on smooth white cardstock using Jet Black Ink. The images were masked with the liquid masking fluid and I let the masking fluid dry for about 20 minutes.

I inked over the dry masking fluid with Peacock Feathers, Wilted Violet, and Black Soot Distress Oxide Inks, spritzed the background with water from a Distress Sprayer, and blotted it dry. Paint splatters using Picket Fence and Brushed Pewter Distress Paints were flicked over the background and allowed to air dry.

The masking fluid was gently rubbed off the surface and the images colored with Copic Markers. Detail using the Wink of Stella Clear Glitter Brush Marker and a white opaque pen was added to the images. Glossy Accents was applied to the "glass" part of the lantern and allowed to dry.

A greeting from the Poppy Stamps Magical Wishes Stamp Set was stamped using Versamark Ink and heat embossed with white embossing powder. 

The panel was adhered to a white top fold card base and finished with a scattering of Pretty Pink Posh Iridescent Mini St

Mama Elephant | Season's Wishes

Hello friends!

Today the Mama Elephant Design Team is showcasing the beautiful new Season's Wishes Stamp Set. I paired this fantastic new greeting stamp set with the Holly's Snowflakes Stamp Set for an embossed resist background and created a family of snow people to adorn the bottom edge of a tri-fold card.

A piece of Bristol Smooth Cardstock was trimmed to 5 1/2" wide by 12" long. The large greeting from the Season's Wishes Stamp Set and snowflakes from the Holly's Snowflakes Stamp Set were stamped using Versamark Ink and heat embossed with white embossing powder. Tumbled Glass Distress Ink was applied over the embossed greeting and snowflakes for embossed resist. Water from a Distress Sprayer was spritzed over the background and blotted dry with a paper towel.

Snowmen were created from the Santa Elf and Snow Deer Favor Bag Add Ons and die cutting the elements from different cardstocks. The snowmen were assembled and adhered along the bottom edge of the card design as shown. Once adhered, a Scor Pal was used to score the card at 4" and 8" to make the tri-fold design.

Another greeting from the was stamped on Chili Pepper Cardstock using Versamark Ink, heat embossed with white embossing powder, and trimmed into thin strips before being adhered to the card as shown.

The card was finished with Nuvo Crystal Drops in White Blizzard and Glossy Accents on parts of the images.

Lawn Fawn + Scrapbook Adhesives Week | All Die Cuts Fall Thanks Card

Hello friends!

The Lawn Fawn Design Team has joined forces with Scrapbook Adhesives to share some fun new projects this week. My most favorite adhesive from Scrapbook Adhesives is the thin foam squares in white and in black. Today I'm sharing one of my favorite techniques, creating a scene from (mostly) all die cuts! With the exception of the leaves and a stamped greeting, this entire scene was completely created from die cut cardstock!

The frame was created from the Landscape Stitched Hillside Backdrop and Mermaid and Noble Fir Cardstock. An additional layer was added behind the frame by die cutting Simon Says Stamp Dark Chocolate Cardstock and Lawn Fawn Noble Fir Cardstock with the Stitched Tree Border Die and Stitched Hillside Borders Die. Shading was added to the layers with Salty Ocean and Mowed Lawn Distress Inks.

A greeting from the Jump For Joy Stamp Set was stamped on the frame using Versamark Ink and heat embossed with Lawn Fawn white embossing powder.

The background layers were adhered to a white side fold card base and the frames were adhered with some of the Scrapbook Adhesives thin foam squares in white and black to give the frame layer a bit of dimension.

The solid colored tree images form the Stitched Tree Border were die cut from Fake Tan, Chili Pepper, and Sunflower Cardstock, inked with Abandoned Coral, Fired Brick, and Wild Honey Distress Inks and adhered behind the tree border as shown. A sun was die cut using a Spring Showers Die, inked, and adhered behind the horizon.

The houses and trees from the Landscape Stitched Hillside Backdrop and Portrait Stitched Hillside Backdrop were die cut from multiple cardstocks, assembled, and adhered to the card as shown.

Three little hearts from the Fancy Box Dies was die cut from Chili Pepper Cardstock and adhered tot he scene. The greeting was die cut from cardstock adhered to Fun Foam and inked with Fired Brick Distress Ink before being adhered to the card above the stamped and embossed sentiment.

Leaves from the Happy Harvest Stamp Set were stamped with Chili Pepper, Fake Tan, and Sunflower Inks, die cut with the coordinating dies and adhered to the fall scene as shown.

The design was finished with Glossy Accents applied to the hearts, roofs, and die cut greeting.

Mama Elephant | Puffy Holiday Greetings

Hello! I'm back again today with another holiday card idea featuring the Puffy Holiday Greetings Stamp Set. I created a custom stamped background with the greetings from the stamp set and some fresh and fun non-traditional holiday ink colors.

The greetings from the Puffy Holiday Greetings Stamp Set were stamped on smooth white cardstock using Simon Says Stamp Rosie Cheeks, Hot Lips, and Mint Candy inks. I used the MISTI to be able to stamp the images one on top of another twice for full coverage.

The Merry Scripty Die was die cut from cardstock adhered to Fun Foam backed with Stick It. I inked up the cardstock with Candied Apple Distress Ink for an ombre look and adhered the dimensional greeting to the card background as shown.

An additional greeting from the Occasional Labels Stamp Set was stamped on smooth white cardstock with black ink, trimmed out and adhered to the card with foam adhesive as shown.

Three santas from the Little Santa Agenda were stamped on Bristol Smooth Cardstock using Versafine Ink, colored with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers, and die cut with the coordinating dies. The images were adhered to the card with foam adhesive squares to finish the design.

Simon Says Stamp STAMPtember | Avery Elle Merry Mistletoe

Welcome to the final week of STAMPtember at Simon Says Stamp. Thank you so much for spending part of your day with me!

Avery Elle has teamed up with Simon Says Stamp for this limited edition exclusive stamp set for STAMPtember called, Merry Mistletoe. This set is available while supplies last! I stamped the beautiful mistletoe image on kraft cardstock and colored the image with Prismacolor Colored Pencils. I absolutely love the look of colored pencils on kraft cardstock.

The large mistletoe image from the Merry Mistletoe was stamped on Desert Storm kraft cardstock using Versafine Ink and colored in with Prismacolor Colored Pencils. 

Picket Fence Distress Paint was watered down and flicked over the colored image with a small paintbrush.

A frame was created by die cutting a Stitched Oval Die from an A2 sized panel of Neenah Smooth White Cardstock.

A greeting from the Merry Mistletoe stamps set was stamped on a clear plastic sheet using Cotton White StazOn Ink and adhered behind the frame. The frame was adhered to the colored panel with thin foam adhesive squares and the design was adhered to a white side fold card base to complete the design.

Simon Says Stamp STAMPtember | Art Impressions To Perfection

Happy Sunday! Thank you so much for spending part of your day with me!

Art Impressions has teamed up with Simon Says Stamp for this limited edition exclusive stamp set for STAMPtember called, To Perfection. These adorable ladies and sentiment are super fun and make great adult greeting cards! I paired the image and greeting with the word "cheers" from the Simon Says Stamp Adult Beverage Sayings Stamp Set and some Nuvo Crystal Drops.

The image from the To Perfection Stamp Set was stamped on Bristol Smooth Cardstock using Versafine Ink, colored in with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers and then the panel was die cut with a Simon Says Stamp Stitched Rectangle Die.

The greeting from the To Perfection Stamp Set was stamped with Versafine Ink and the word "cheers" from the was stamped with Versamark Ink and heat embossed with gold embossing powder.

The panel was attached to a blue card base and finished with Nuvo Crystal Drops in English Mustard, Navy Blue, and Copper Penny.
