Honey Bee Stamps | Acorn Sisters (Clear Window with Stamped Greeting) + New Release NOW AVAILABLE

Hello stamping friends! Thank you so much for joining me today. The brand new Acorn Sisters Stamp Set and coordinating dies features the most adorable trio of girls all decked out for fall! Mix and match greetings make this another great set to use for multiple occasions!

Images from the Acorn Sisters Stamp Set was stamped on Bristol Smooth Cardstock using Versafine Ink. Once the ink was completely dry I colored in the images with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers, adding accents with black and white Sakura pens. The images were die cut with the coordinating Acorn Sisters Dies.

A background was die cut from smooth white cardstock using the Hexagon Stipple Plate. The images were adhered to the hexagon background as shown.

A frame was die cut with an A2 Double Stitched Frame die. Greetings from the Acorn Sisters Stamp Set were stamped on a clear plastic sheet using black and white StazOn Inks. The window was adhered behind the frame and then adhered over the background.

The design was finished with a scattering of the new Indian Summer sequins.

Mama Elephant Stamp Highlight | Little Santa Agenda

Are you feeling the Christmas Spirit yet? ;) Today the Mama Elephant Design Team is featuring the new Little Santa Agenda Stamp Set and coordinating dies. I paired these die cut images with the Grid Window Die, a banner from the Madison Avenue Die Collection, and a greeting from the Sentiments From Yeti Stamp Set. These framed up little santas are the cutest!!!

The background for the framed Santa's was inked with Black Soot and Candied Apple Distress Oxide Inks, spritzed with water from a Distress Sprayer and blotted dry. 

A frame was die cut from smooth white cardstock using the Grid Window Die and adhered over the inked background with thin foam adhesive squares.

A greeting from the Sentiments From Yeti Stamp Set was stamped on a die cut banner from the Madison Avenue Die Collection, using Versamark Ink and heat embossed with white embossing powder before being adhered to the grid window as shown.

The santas from th eLittle Santa Agenda Stamp Set were stamped on smooth white cardstock using Jet Black Ink, colored in with Copic Markers, and die cut with the coordinating Little Santa Agenda dies. The santas were adhered to the card with foam adhesive to complete the design.

Sunny Studio Birthday Blog Hop + GIVEAWAY

Welcome to the Sunny Studio Birthday Blog Hop!

Today I'm sharing this polar masked scene card featuring an acetate card base stamped with the Snow Flurries Stamp Set. I love the look of a see-thru card and it's perfect paired with these Polar Playmates!

The images from the Polar Playmates were masked and stamped on Neenah Smooth White Cardstock using Jet Black Ink. I used the Simon Says Stamp masking paper and the stickiness was perfect for staying put while stamping, embossing, and inking over the masks!

With the masks in place, I stamped the Frosty Flurries stamp over the background with Versamark Ink and heat embossed with white embossing powder. I inked over the flurries with Salty Ocean Distress Ink, buffed off any ink sitting on top of the embossing and removed the masks over the stamped images. The Polar Playmates were colored in with Copic Markers and details were added with the Wink of Stella Clear Glitter Brush Marker, a white opaque pen, and Glossy Accents.

The winter scene was trimmed to 3" x 5 1/2".

For the clear card, I stamped the Snow Flurries on a Hero Arts Acetate Card using Cotton White StazOn Ink. I love the see-thru snowflakes!

The winter scene panel was adhered to the front of the clear card. Another cardstock panel was adhered to the inside of the front panel of the card to hide the bleed-thru of the Copic coloring and adhesive.

Island Blue Cardstock was trimmed to 4" x 5 1/4" and adhered to the inside of the card to give you somewhere to write a message. A white panel was adhered to the back of the card to hide the adhesive from this message panel.

Simon Says Stamp STAMPtember | The Greeting Farm Pumpkin Spice It Up

The Greeting Farm has joined forces with Simon Says Stamp for STAMPtember with this adorable Pumpkin Spice It Up Stamp Set! I created a masked, stenciled and inked scene card with this fantastic new set.

I stamped and masked the images from the Pumpkin Spice It Up Stamp Set on smooth white cardstock using Jet Black Ink. The Simon Says Stamp Masking Paper is nice and tacky and stays put! This was my first time using the SSS brand masking paper and I'm a believer! I was able to stencil, ink, and color over the masking paper no problem!

Over the masked images I inked through the Tim Holtz Bricked Stencil to create a brick wall using Pumice Stone Distress Ink. Along the bottom edge of the scene I inked up the "sidewalk" with Hickory Smoke Distress Ink and used Copic Markers over the ink to create the detail of the sidewalk. Little tufts of grass were draw in a few places where the sidewalk meets the wall for interest.

I removed the masks and colored in the images with Copic Markers. I die cut the panel with a Simon Says Stamp Wonky Rectangles Die.

A greeting from the Pumpkin Spice It Up Stamp Set was stamped on the "brick wall" with Versamark Ink and heat embossed with gold embossing powder. 

Glossy Accents was applied to the glasses and heart and a white pen was used to add detail to the stamped and colored images.

Mama Elephant Stamp Highlight | Little Reindeer Agenda

Welcome! Today the Mama Elephant Design Team is showcasing the new Little Reindeer Agenda Stamp Set and coordinating dies. I paired these adorable little guys with the Holly's Snowflakes Stamp Set, Puffy Holiday Greetings Stamp Set, and Lafayette Dies for a holiday shaker card!

The Holly's Snowflakes images were stamped on Neenah Smooth White Cardstock with Versamark Ink and heat embossed with white embossing powder. Salty Ocean Distress Ink was applied over the snowflakes for embossed resist.

The frame for the shaker was created by die cutting Neenah Smooth White Cardstock with a Lafayette Die . A greeting from the was stamped on a plastic window sheet using Cotton White StazOn Ink. Snow flurries from the Holly's Snowflakes were stamped on the window with Cotton White StazOn Ink as well.The frame was adhered to the plastic window.

Reindeer from the Little Reindeer Agenda Stamp Set were stamped on smooth white cardstock using black ink, colored in with Copic Markers, and die cut with the coordinating dies. The reindeer were adhered under the stamped greeting on the window.

 

Two layers of foam tape were placed around the edges to form the well for the shaker and filled with Marshmallow and Shimmer Sparkle seed beads. The shaker frame was placed on top and the shaker was adhered to a white side fold card base.

The design was finished by adding detail to the reindeer with a black pen and Glossy Accents.

Simon Says Stamp STAMPtember | Studio Katia Blooming Trio

Hey crafting friends! Are you enjoying STAMPtember? I sure am! Studio Katia has joined forces with Simon Says Stamp to bring you this limited edition Blooming Trio Stamp Set. I cannot get enough of florals and this set is incredible! This design would be fantastic to replicate to create a whole set of cards to have on hand or give as a gift.

The floral image from the Blooming Trio Stamp Set was stamped on Bristol Smooth cardstock twice, leaving a bit of space in between, using Versamark Ink and heat embossed with white embossing powder. The images were colored in with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers and a water brush pen for the beautiful watercolor effect.

The panel was trimmed down each long side and adhered to an A2 sized (4 1/4" x 5 1/2") piece of Cilantro Cardstock.

A greeting from the Blooming Trio Stamp Set was stamped on a vellum strip using Versamark Ink and heat embossed with gold embossing powder. The strip was wrapped around the card panel and secured to the back to keep the adhesive hidden.

I adhered the panel to a white top fold card base and finished the design with a scattering of Nuvo Crystal Drops in Carnation Pink, Orange Marmalade, Apple Green, and Morning Dew.

Mama Elephant Stamp Highlight | Beary Christmas

Hello! Today the Mama Elephant Design Team is showcasing the new A Beary Christmas Stamp Set and coordinating dies. I paired these super adorable images with the new Hexastar Creative Cuts for this interesting Hexagon shaped frame opening. A greeting from the Season's Wishes Stamp Set rounds out this fun little scene!

The hexagon die from the Hexastar Creative Cuts was die cut from smooth white cardstock along the right edge of the panel as shown. Candied Apple Distress Oxide Ink was used to ink the hexagon with an Ink Blending Tool. A Distress Sprayer was used to spritz water over the shape, blotted dry and then a greeting from the Season's Wishes Stamp Set was stamped in the upper part of the shape with Simon Says Stamp Black Dye Ink.

The half hexagon was adhered to a white top fold card base. The frame was adhered using foam adhesive squares for a bit of dimension.

Images from the A Beary Christmas Stamp Set  were stamped on Bristol Smooth Cardstock using black ink, colored in with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers, and die cut with the coordinating dies. The images were adhered to the card to build the scene as shown.

The card was finished with a scattering of Pretty Pink Posh gold mini star confetti, Glossy Accents on some of the images, and black and white pen accents.

Mama Elephant Stamp Highlight | Sentiments From Yeti

Yeti or not, I'm sharing another holiday card! Today the Mama Elephant Design Team is featuring the Sentiments From Yeti stamps and coordinating dies! This fantastic greeting set works perfectly with the Me & My Yeti stamp and dies or with your other holiday stamps!

The shaker frame was created with a Hexastar Die and an All Prettied Up circle die cut from Bristol Smooth Cardstock. A mask was die cut and trimmed for the scallop window opening and the scalloped edges of the Hexastar were masked as well using post it tape. Blueprint Sketch and Shaded Lilac Distress Inks were applied with an ink blending tool, spritzed with water, and blotted dry with a paper towel. The masks were removed to reveal crisp white scallop borders. The inside of the shaker was inked as well and adhered to another panel die cut with the Hexastar die.

The shaker window was stamped with snowflakes from the Sentiments From Yeti Stamp Set using Cotton White StazOn Ink.

The window plastic was adhered behind the shaker frame. The shaker was framed up with two layers of foam adhesive, filled with Chunky Glitter, and the frame front was adhered on top to give it a snow globe look.

The images from Sentiments From Yeti and Me & My Yeti were stamped on Bristol Smooth Cardstock, colored in with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers, and die cut with the coordinating dies. The images were adhered to the card.

A banner was die cut from black cardstock using a Basic Collection die, stamped with a sentiment from the Sentiments From Yeti stamp set using Versamark Ink and heat embossed with white embossing powder. The banner was adhered to the card underneath the shaker window as shown.

The card was finished with a scattering of silver and iridescent mini star confetti and Glossy Accents on the stars.

Lawn Fawn September Inspiration Week | Christmas Dreams

Today the Lawn Fawn Design Team is showcasing the Christmas Dreams Stamp Set and coordinating dies. I created a framed up scene with these stamps and dies with a stamped greeting on plastic overlay. This is great not only for shaker cards but for when you have a card design where a greeting doesn't necessarily fit anywhere else. I'm a huge fan of red/aqua/white Christmas colors so I added pops of aqua throughout my design for a more contemporary holiday feel!

Images from the Christmas Dreams Stamp Set were stamped on smooth white cardstock using Jet Black Ink, colored in with Copic Markers, and die cut with the coordinating dies. The thought bubble was stamped on vellum with Versamark Ink and heat embossed with white embossing powder.

The frame was die cut from smooth white cardstock with an Outside In Stitched Scalloped Rectangle die and a Stitched Oval die. On the oval die cut, I drew a pencil line to divide the "wall" from the "floor". The wall was stenciled with Pumice Stone Distress Ink using the Tim Holtz Slate Stencil. The "floor" was inked with Peacock Feathers Distress Ink and the baseboard inked with Pumice Stone Distress Ink. The oval was adhered to a white side fold card base and then the Christmas Dreams images were adhered to the the background.

Greeting from the Christmas Dreams Stamp Set were stamped on window plastic with Cotton White and Black StazOn Inks. The plastic was adhered directly behind the frame and the frame was adhered to the card base with foam adhesive squares.

The bow was adhered to the top of the frame as shown.

Simon Says Stamp STAMPtember | CZ Design Coolest Yulest

Simon Says Stamp has released stamps and dies designed by Cathy Zielske to celebrate STAMPtember!  Special thanks to Cathy for collaborating on this exciting celebration!  

This is not a limited edition STAMPtember release.  That means, once it sells out, we will be restocking. Yay!

My card today features the newest CZ Design Coolest Yulest Stamp Set. I created both a background (splattered with paint) and stamped elements with a pigment based ink that I added clear embossing over to make them shiny and to seal in the color. While clean and simple in design, small details make all the difference!

The trees from the CZ Design Coolest Yulest Stamp Set were stamped on an A2 sized piece of smooth white cardstock using Simon Says Stamp Evergreen and Beanstalk Green Inks. Watered down Peeled Paint and Tarnished Brass Distress Paints were flicked over the background with a small paintbrush.

While the background paint was drying I die cut a rectangle using a Simon Says Stamp Stitched Rectangle Die. The reindeer and word "merry" from the CZ Design Coolest Yulest Stamp Set were stamped with Vintage Photo and Fired Brick Distress Oxide Inks and heat embossed with clear embossing powder. Because the Distress Oxides have pigment ink in them, they are perfect for embossing!

Additional greetings from the CZ Design Coolest Yulest Stamp Set were stamped on black cardstock using Versamark Ink and heat embossed with white embossing powder. The phrases were trimmed into thin strips and adhered around the word "merry" as shown. 

The panel was adhered to the tree background with foam adhesive.

Additional greetings from the CZ Design Coolest Yulest Stamp Set were stamped on black cardstock using Versamark Ink and heat embossed with white embossing powder. The phrases were trimmed into thin strips and adhered around the word "merry" as shown. 

The panel was adhered to the tree background with foam adhesive and a drop of Nuvo Crystal Drops in Autumn Red was applied to the tip of the reindeer's nose.
