Happy STAMPtember!
I'm thrilled to be sharing the newest collaboration limited edition exclusive stamp/die set from Lawn Fawn, Christmas Like No Otter! The Winter Otter from the Fall and Winter 2017 Release has been so popular and this fantastic new stamp/die set is the perfect compliment to that, to use with your other Lawn Fawn stamps and dies, or to use all on it's own! In the video (below), I talk a bit about how the Lawn Fawn products all work together and that even products that are a bit older, work with the new stuff! Love that!
The Christmas Like No Otter Stamp/Die set is sure to be SUPER popular. The Lawn Fawn collaboration is always highly anticipated and will be available while supplies last. Be sure to grab it up quick because when it's gone, it's gone. The previous year's Lawn Fawn STAMPtember exclusives have flown off the shelves and I'm sure this set won't be any different!
Let's get started with my card share for today. I built a background scene for the adorable otters from Christmas Like No Otter using Lawn Fawn dies and customized the background pieces with Distress Inks.
I die cut smooth white cardstock with the Landscape Stitched Hillside Backdrop Die, Stitched Mountain Border Die, and Forest Border Die. Color was added to the sky with Salty Ocean Distress Ink, a hint of color to the mountains with Tumbled Glass Distress Ink, water with Salty Ocean and Blueprint Sketch Distress Inks, and the trees were colored with Forest Moss and Peeled Paint Distress Inks.
I assembled the background as shown, finishing the mountains with die cut snow caps from Simon Says Stamp White Glitter Cardstock. This cardstock cuts like butter!
A greeting from the Christmas Like No Otter Stamp Set was stamped along one of the "waves" using Black Licorice Ink. Isn't it awesome that the sentiments are curved to fit along the curved edges of die cuts?!!!!
Waves from the Christmas Like No Otter Stamp Set were stamped along the bottom edge of the card using Versamark Ink and heat embossed with Lawn Fawn White Embossing Powder.
The otters, log, hats, greenery, and bow from the Christmas Like No Otter Stamp Set and the fish from the Beary Happy Holidays Stamp Set were stamped on smooth white cardstock using Jet Black Ink, colored with Copic Markers, and die cut with the coordinating dies. The images were adhered to the scene as shown.
A black glaze pen was used to add detail to the eyes and noses of the critters to finish the design.
