Hello! I'm back with more STAMPtember fun today with this adorable, Koalaty Time Stamp Set by Sugar Pea Designs. This is a limited edition collaboration set for STAMPtember. Once it's gone, it's gone so grab it up quick! I couldn't make just one card with these images, so I made four! I combined the Koalaty Time images with the new Simon Says Stamp Kaleidoscope Leaves Background and Distress Inks. Vellum card wraps are the perfect place for the stamped and embossed greetings. Let's get started!
On smooth white A2 sized cardstock rectangles (4 1/4" x 5 1/2"), I stamped the Kaleidoscope Leaves Background with Versamark Ink and heat embossed with Simon Says Stamp Clear Embossing Powder. On each background I used two Distress Inks for embossed resist backgrounds.
- Green Background: Lucky Clover and Cracked Pistachio
- Lemon-Lime Background: Squeezed Lemonade and Twisted Citron
- Blue-Violet Background: Shaded Lilac and Blueprint Sketch
- Red-Orange Background: Candied Apple and Dried Marigold
Once inked, I made sure to buff off any excess ink with a dry cloth/paper towel.
From each background, I used a Basic Rectangle Die and Nested Heart Die to die cut a frame. I used a piece of post it tap (you could use other low tack tape or washi tape as well) to hold the two dies together so that each panel was die cut exactly the same. All those hearts that were removed from this panel.... I'm going to be sharing a new card idea with those a bit later this month! No waste!
To make it easy to line up the back panel and frame, I die cut another solid rectangle from smooth white cardstock, used the MISTI to line up the Koalaty Time images perfectly, and stamped them on the white rectangle with Jet Black Ink. Each panel features a different Koala! I colored in each image with Copic Markers, adding detailing with a black and white pen to the eyes and Glossy Accents to the noses.
Greetings from the Koalaty Time Stamp Set were stamped on vellum using Versamark Ink and heat embossed with Lawn Fawn White Embossing Powder. Each greeting was trimmed into a thin strip. The vellum is purposely longer than the front panel to create a vellum wrap. This means the ends can be wrapped around the front panel and secured to the back, leaving the front completely loose but still secured. This is a great way to disguise and hide adhesive when adhering vellum!
The back of each frame is covered in foam adhesive and then adhered to the Koala panel. The entire rectangle is then adhered to a white top fold card base.
Pretty envelopes from Simon Says Stamp coordinate perfectly with each card! I love SSS envelopes!!!
