Hi friends! A few days ago I posted some Let It Snow cards HERE featuring the Mama Elephant So Many Snowmen Stamp Set and had several requests to share a video on how to create the masked full panel background. Today I'm sharing two card featuring the Mama Elephant The Cat's Meow Stamp Set and So Many Snowmen Stamp Set to create full stamped and colored backgrounds! The effect is super fun and is easy to do with a little masking!
For both cards, I started at the bottom of a piece of Bristol Smooth Cardstock and stamped the first border with Versafine Onyx Black Ink, stamped and cut out a mask, and then stamped the next border, then the next, moving the mask for each stamped border. I love the Simon Says Stamp Masking Paper. It holds up well to being used multiple times!
Once both backgrounds were stamped, I colored in the images with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers and a water brush pen for a soft, watercolored look. Detail was added to the eyes on both backgrounds with a black glaze pen and stripes, polka dots, and highlights were added to the snowmen images with a white gel pen. Glossy Accents was applied to the eyeglasses and hearts on the cat background.
For both cards, I used greetings from the Simon Says Stamp An Arctic Christmas Stamp Set. The greetings were stamped on Black Licorice Cardstock using Versamark Ink, heat embossed with white embossing powder, cut into thin strips, and adhered with foam adhesive for subtle dimension.
I love that even though this is a Christmas themed set I was able to get greetings for both my holiday card and non-holiday card!

Hello friends! Thank for joining me this Monday for an interactive pop up Christmas card with Lawn Fawn stamps and dies! Pop ups are one of my favorite cards because of the fantastic opportunity to bring the magic from the front of the card to the inside with an interactive element! It's a bit more work, I consider it creating two scene cards at once but the result makes it all worth it!
Santa and his reindeer from Ready, Set, Snow was stamped along the top edge of a 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" piece of white cardstock using Versafine Onyx Black Ink. The snow/stars border from the Snowy Backdrops was stamped along the top edge of the background with Versamark Ink and heat embossed with white embossing powder. Salty Ocean Distress Oxide Ink was applied over the embossing to add a blue sky.
A greeting from the Beary Happy Holidays Stamp Set was stamped along the bottom edge of the front of the card with black ink.
The ice skating polar bear, ice, hearts, and fish from Beary Happy Holidays, the stocking hat from Critters in the Arctic, and the snowman from Ready, Set, Snow were stamped on smooth white cardstock, colored in with Copic Markers and die cut with the coordinating dies.
The images were adhered to the pop up layers as shown. Glossy Accents was applied to the fishing hole, hearts, and ornaments for a glossy finish.

Hello friends! Coffee gift cards are always an easy gift whether it be for a birthday, Christmas, or any day! Today I'm sharing a couple of Coffee Card Gift Holders using the awesome shaped Honey Bee Crafts dies. The adorable polar bear from the Flakey Friends Stamp Set makes for the perfect accent to these cute gift card holders.
On the red card base, I stamped snowflakes from the Flakey Friends Stamp Set using Versamark Ink and heat embossed with white embossing powder. On the aqua card base, I stamped coffee cups from the Flakey Friends Stamp Set with Versamark Ink only, for the watermark look.
The polar bear, scarves, coffee cups (how cute is it that they match the cup die?!!!!), and the hat from the Flakey Friends Stamp Set were stamped on smooth white cardstock using Jet Black Ink, colored in with Copic Markers, and die cut with the coordinating dies.
The images were adhered to the coffee bands, being sure to keep the adhesive only to the areas where the bear connects to the coffee band. A black glaze pen was used to add detail to the bear and Glossy Accents was applied to the band on the coffee cup the polar bear is holding. I absolutely love that the bear die cuts out the arms and makes tucking the coffee cup in the bear's arms so easy!
Greetings and paw prints from the Flakey Friends Stamp Set were stamped inside the card for a fun surprise inside the card.
A gift card will securely stay in place without adhesive when you fold up the card and slip the band around the coffee cup! Isn't it just the cutest?!!! I want to make these for everyone for Christmas!

A 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" rectangle was adhered to a white top fold card base and the stenciled background was adhered on top. The greeting strip was adhered over the center of each snowflake with foam adhesive.
White Blizzard Nuvo Crystal Drops were applied to the snowflakes and allowed to dry. These sparkly translucent Nuvo Drops dry clear and sparkly and so, so pretty!

Hi friends! The For You Deer Stamp Set is one of my favorites from the Lawn Fawn Fall & Winter Release. Not only are the images adorable but you can create great inside/out designs with the bear and deer in the set which is just so much fun! My card share today features these cute little deer (and one polar bear) hanging out over the edge on a clear card base. When you open the card, you get the other side of them whether it be backs or fronts! I added some falling snow for the background, which you can see whether the card is open or shut since the card base is clear and added some bright red thought bubbles inside the card as well! Let me show you how easy it is to create with a clear card base!
To build the elements for the clear card base I first trimmed two strips of smooth white cardstock to 1 3/4" x 5 1/2". One will be adhered to the front of the clear card, and one will be adhered on the inside of the card to hide the adhesive. I added stitching detail along the top edges of both strips with a Stitched Borders Die. I love these border basics for adding detail to the edges of any strip of cardstock!
The two strips were adhered along the bottom edge of the card front, one on the front and one on the inside as shown.
For the inside and back of the card, I die cut two rectangles from smooth white cardstock using an Outside In Stitched Rectangle Die. On one rectangle, I masked off the edges with post it tape and stamped the falling snow image from the Snow Cool Stamp Set using Versamark Ink and heat embossing with white embossing powder. I inked over the falling snow with Salty Ocean Distress Oxide Ink, slightly lightening the inking closer to the bottom of the panel. I buffed any ink sitting on top of the embossing off with a dry paper towel. The inside rectangle was adhered to the inside of the clear card so that the falling snow is visible both when the card is closed and open!
The other rectangle was adhered to the back of the card to hide the adhesive.
The deer and polar bear fronts and backs from the For You Deer Stamp Set were stamped on smooth white cardstock with Jet Black Ink, colored in with Copic Markers, and die cut with the coordinating dies. Little hearts were added to the backsides with a heart from the Here We Go A-Waddling Stamp Set. Four backsides and one front were adhered along the front edge of the card. On the inside I lined up the opposite image and adhered the fronts and backside. I wanted adhesive to completely cover the die cut images, so I ran them through a Xyron Sticker Maker so they would adhere nice and flat to the card!
I love that the critters are just as cute on the inside as on the front of the card!
A red nose was added to the deer facing front on the card with Nuvo Crystal Drops in Autumn Red and Glossy Accents was added to the hearts on each of the critters to finish the design.

Hello there! Thank you so much for joining me today! Plaid backgrounds are super easy with the awesome Plaid Play Stamp Set from Waffle Flower Crafts! You can literally create any plaid design with this awesome plaid builder set! I created a blue/green/yellow combo for my card today.
On a 4" x 5 1/4" smooth white background, I stamped the borders from Plaid Play using Fossilized Amber, Twisted Citron, Peacock Feathers, and Salty Ocean Distress Oxide Ink. Pigment inks work fantastic with this design as they give great full coverage for solid image stamps.
Balloons from the Congrats Stamp Set were stamped on white cardstock with Versamark Ink, heat embossed with white embossing powder, die cut with the coordinating Congrats Die, and inked with the same Distress Oxide Inks as the plaid background for embossed resist. Thin hemp twine was attached to the bottom of each balloon and the balloons were secured to the card front with foam adhesive, leaving room for the greeting, and the strings pulled taunt to the backside of the panel and secures with tape.
The Celebrate Die was die cut from smooth white cardstock adhered to Fun Foam with Stick It adhesive and adhered to the card as shown. An additional sentiment was stamped on Black Licorice Cardstock using Versamark Ink and heat embossed with white embossing powder before being trimmed into a thin strip and adhered under the dimensional greeting with foam tape.
The panel was adhered to a white top fold card base to finish the design.

Hello! Thank you so much for joining me here today. Today I"m sharing a card I did awhile back and haven't shared here yet. I stamped a custom background with the Waffle Flower Hello Fall Stamp Set and added a gold gilded greeting and border with a small collage of stamped and die cut fall images to round out the card design. This is a simple look that would work for any theme or holiday simply by changing up the images and greetings!
I trimmed the "hello fall" greeting stamp apart with scissors and lined it up in the MISTI using a MISTI creative corner for the perfect angle and then stamped the greeting with Versamark on an A2 sized panel of Black Licorice Cardstock. I heat embossed the greeting with sticky embossing powder and then added Radiant Gold Gilding Flakes to the greeting. I rubbed off the excess gilding flakes with my finger and then dusted off the rest with a blender brush.
On the stamped background panel, I adhered a strip of 1/4" Scor Tape along the angled edge, applying Radiant Gold Gilding Flakes and rubbing off the excess gilding flakes with my finger and then dusting off the rest with a blender brush.
I adhered the patterned panel to the background below the greeting and added the collage of elements to the right of the sentiment before adhering the panel to a white top card base.

Hello! Today I have a Mama Elephant Designer Series project with two So Many Snowmen cards to share with you. One is a full panel of snowmen that resembles a patterned paper with three small greeting labels adhered to the center. This card features some masking. The second card features a snowmen border with an inlay and popped up die cut sentiment and includes a video tutorial. I can't get enough of these adorable snowmen and I bet you can't either!
I kept up with the "let it snow" theme for both cards. The first with three Occasional Labels stamped with "let it snow" and the second with a dimensional die cut inlay greeting.
I applied Salty Ocean and Faded Jeans Distress Oxide Inks to the background, spritzing with water from a Distress Sprayer, blotting dry, and setting the background aside to air dry. The water droplets give the illusion of a falling snow background!
The So Many Snowmen border was stamped on smooth white cardstock using Jet Black Ink. The image was colored with Copic Markers, die cut with the coordinating So Many Snowmen die, and embellished with white, black, and stardust pens to add detailing to the adorable snowmen.
The border was adhered along the bottom edge of the background.
A sentiment from Peaceful Wishes was stamped on the background using Versamark Ink and heat embossed with white embossing powder. The "let it snow" greeting from the So Many Snowmen Creative Cuts Dies was die cut from the background above the embossed greeting, making sure to keep not only the greeting but all the small inside pieces too.
The greeting was also die cut four more times from smooth white cardstock.
Adhesive was placed on the front of a white top fold card base and the panel was adhered. Then a white script greeting was inlaid into the background along with the blue sky die cut inside letter pieces. Four white die cut greetings were stacked one on top of another, finishing with the blue die cut greeting.
The full panel of snowmen was achieved by masking the image twice on a 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" piece of smooth white cardstock. The snowmen were colored in with Copic Markers to create an entire background of colorful snowmen!
The "let it snow" sentiment from the Occasional Labels Stamp Set was stamped three times on smooth white cardstock using black Versafine ink, trimmed out leaving a thin white border and adhered to the center of the background with foam adhesive as shown.

The large image from the Gather Together Stamp Set and hearts from the Forest Friends Stamp Setwere stamped on smooth white cardstock using Jet Black Ink, colored in with Copic Markers, and die cut with the coordinating Gather Together Dies and Forest Friends Dies. The images were adhered to the background scene as shown. With such a large image, the stenciled background adds just the right touch to add to the scene, instead of overwhelm it!
A greeting from the Gather Together Stamp Set was stamped along the bottom of the background with black Versafine Ink as shown. The Gather Together Stamp Set “hello” greeting was die cut from gold foil cardstock adhered to fun foam and layered over the image for a fun, dimensional greeting.
Glossy Accents was added to some of the critter’s noses and the hearts to finish the design.

Hello! Earlier this week I shared this trio of inlay style kindness cards on the Simon Says Stamp Blog and YouTube Channel using the November Card Kit, Kind Flowers. I absolutely adore this kit! So many amazing things you can do with it! HERE is a dimensional greeting die cut from a stamped image card I shared with the kit. I wanted to showcase the amazing specialty papers from the kit with my cards today so I used the Heart of Flowers Die to to create inlay panels and die cut the specialty papers to fit inside the floral shapes! Awesome texture and elegant kindness cards!
I backed the panels with foam tape, flipped them over and placed the die cut pieces inside the flower and leaf shapes for the inlay design. I used a QuickStik tool for any of the super small pieces.
I peeled the backing paper off the back of the panel and adhered each to a cream cardstock card base.
