Welcome to the secret BCRF hop.
Today we're surprising Ellen and Julie with a blog hop showcasing this amazing stamp and die set!
"The Courage Stamp and Die Set was made especially to benefit the Breast Cancer Research Foundation. The Breast Cancer Research Foundation is a nonprofit organization committed to achieving prevention and a cure for breast cancer. They provide critical funding for cancer research worldwide. Breast cancer has personally impacted our families and friends - the bottom line is we need to find a cure as soon as possible! In honor of their amazing mothers, Chaitali, Julie and Ellen teamed up to find a way that they could make a difference, honor these very special women in their lives and actively contribute to finding a cure for breast cancer. Together they have created the Courage Stamp & Die Set. With special thanks to Mary Anne Radmacher, author of "Courage Does Not Roar" for allowing us to share her words with you. Her name was inadvertently left off the attribution and will be corrected in future productions of this set."
$25 from the purchase price of this stamp & die set will be donated to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation to help fight breast cancer.
I created a set of three cards for you today featuring this amazing set and some great embossing using a Lawn Fawn die that perfectly frames up the gorgeous florals and encouraging sentiments!
Greetings from the Courage Stamp & Die Set were stamped on 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" panels of smooth white cardstock using Versafine Black Ink and Lawn Fawn Manatee Ink. I used a MISTI to make creating multiples super quick and easy.
The flowers and leaves were stamped on smooth white cardstock using an assortment of Lawn Fawn inks. I've listed the color combination below for easy reference:
- Large Flower: Ballet Slippers, Guava, Lobster, Storm Cloud
- Bright Pink Flower: Bubblegum, Plastic Flamingo, Lobster
- Light Pink Flower: Ballet Slippers, Bubblegum
- Two Tone Leaves: Celery Stick, Freshly Cut Grass
- Solid Leaves: Freshly Cut Grass or Noble Fir
The Courage Stamp & Die Set images were die cut and set aside to to finish the background.
To emboss the frames on the background I used the Lawn Fawn Outside In Stitched Scalloped Rectangles and embossing mats with the number 1 tab on the Sizzix Big Shot. The embossing pads allow the die image to emboss the paper instead of cutting through, leaving you with an amazing embossed design!
Once the backgrounds were embossed I adhered the florals and leaves above and below the sentiments as shown and adhered the panels to white top fold card bases.
