Hello! Today I'm sharing a simple stenciled scene card with the new Outdoor Scene Builder stencils used to created a background and paired with the awesome Gather Together stamps and coordinating dies.
The background was created by inking smooth white cardstock with Vintage Photo Distress Oxide Ink and an Outdoor Scene Builder stencil giving the illusion of mountains. A bit of Salty Ocean Distress Oxide Ink was applied to make the "sky" and some Peeled Paint Distress Oxide was used along the bottom of the panel to give the illusion of "grass". Water from a Distress Sprayer was sprayed over the background and blotted dry to give some added interest.
The large image from the Gather Together Stamp Set and hearts from the Forest Friends Stamp Setwere stamped on smooth white cardstock using Jet Black Ink, colored in with Copic Markers, and die cut with the coordinating Gather Together Dies and Forest Friends Dies. The images were adhered to the background scene as shown. With such a large image, the stenciled background adds just the right touch to add to the scene, instead of overwhelm it!
A greeting from the Gather Together Stamp Set was stamped along the bottom of the background with black Versafine Ink as shown. The Gather Together Stamp Set “hello” greeting was die cut from gold foil cardstock adhered to fun foam and layered over the image for a fun, dimensional greeting.
Glossy Accents was added to some of the critter’s noses and the hearts to finish the design.
