Today the Mama Elephant Design Team is showcasing the new Peaceful Wishes Stamp Set. I used the shadow stamping technique to heat emboss a sentiment and shadow and then inked over the large script style greeting with Distress Oxide Inks. An additional sentiment from Peaceful Wishes and some cute images from the Whimsical Winter add to the design. I used the frame die from the Pegworks Dies to create the frame for my card.
I die cut smooth white cardstock using the Pegworks frame die. I stamped the large "Peace On Earth" greeting from the Peaceful Wishes Stamp Set in the center of the panel with the MISTI and using Versamark Ink and heat embossed with gold embossing powder. I placed the panel back in the MISTI, slightly shifted it to the left and down (just barely), and stamped the greeting again with Versamark, this time heat embossing with clear embossing powder.
Lucky Clover Distress Oxide and Twisted Citron Distress Oxide were applied over the embossing for embossed resist. Both the gold and clear embossing powders resist the ink and the clear shows the white outline of the paper underneath! Isn't that cool?!!!! This is one of my favorite techniques for big, bold, scripty greetings!
Once the panel was completely dry (I sped this up with my heat tool), I stamped an additional sentiment from the Peaceful Wishes Stamp Set in the bottom right corner of the inside rectangle using Versamark Ink and heat embossed with white embossing powder.
The owl and gift trio from the Whimsical Winter were stamped on Bristol Smooth Cardstock, colored in with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers and die cut with the coordinating dies. I adhered the images to my card and finished the design with Nuvo Crystal Drops in Carnation Pink, Red Berry, Woodland Green, and Pale Gold.

Beautiful card, Nichol. Before I watched the video, I was puzzled by how you could add a white shadow with embossing after you embossed the large sentiment. I must be tired. The light bulb did come on when I watched the video and you explained exactly how it's done - duh. Thanks for the tutorial. Love your blog and videos. I always learn something.
