Today the Mama Elephant Design Team is showcasing the new Peaceful Wishes Stamp Set. I used the shadow stamping technique to heat emboss a sentiment and shadow and then inked over the large script style greeting with Distress Oxide Inks. An additional sentiment from Peaceful Wishes and some cute images from the Whimsical Winter add to the design. I used the frame die from the Pegworks Dies to create the frame for my card.
I die cut smooth white cardstock using the Pegworks frame die. I stamped the large "Peace On Earth" greeting from the Peaceful Wishes Stamp Set in the center of the panel with the MISTI and using Versamark Ink and heat embossed with gold embossing powder. I placed the panel back in the MISTI, slightly shifted it to the left and down (just barely), and stamped the greeting again with Versamark, this time heat embossing with clear embossing powder.
Lucky Clover Distress Oxide and Twisted Citron Distress Oxide were applied over the embossing for embossed resist. Both the gold and clear embossing powders resist the ink and the clear shows the white outline of the paper underneath! Isn't that cool?!!!! This is one of my favorite techniques for big, bold, scripty greetings!
Once the panel was completely dry (I sped this up with my heat tool), I stamped an additional sentiment from the Peaceful Wishes Stamp Set in the bottom right corner of the inside rectangle using Versamark Ink and heat embossed with white embossing powder.
The owl and gift trio from the Whimsical Winter were stamped on Bristol Smooth Cardstock, colored in with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers and die cut with the coordinating dies. I adhered the images to my card and finished the design with Nuvo Crystal Drops in Carnation Pink, Red Berry, Woodland Green, and Pale Gold.

Today the Mama Elephant Design Team is showcasing the new Wishful Taggins Stamp Set and coordinating dies. I paired these stamps and dies with the So Many Snowmen Stamp Set for some adorable snowmen-themed gift tags. Gift tags are always one of my favorite things to make for the holidays to add a homemade touch to gift packages.
The front of the tags were all die cut from smooth white cardstock using the Winter Taggins Dies. The backs of the tags were die cut from Lawn Fawn Mermaid, Peacock, and Blue Jay Cardstock.
Snowmen and accessory images from the So Many Snowmen Stamp Set were stamped on the smooth white cardstock tags using Jet Black Ink. The images were colored in with Copic Markers.
Silver glitter cardstock was used to die cut the bows that were adhered to the front and back of each tag for a finished look.
Sentiments from the Wishful Taggins Stamp Set were stamped on the back of each tag with Versamark Ink and heat embossed with white embossing powder. The "to" sentiment was stamped on the front of each tag with black Versafine Ink.
The tags were adhered back to back as shown and finished with some aqua twine.

Borders were die cut from smooth white cardstock using On The Hills borders and adhered along the bottom edge of the background as shown.
Images from the Whimsical Winter Stamp Set were stamped on smooth white cardstock using Jet Black Ink, colored in with Copic Markers, and die cut with the coordinating dies before being adhered to the scene as shown.

I just got back from a fantastic weekend spent with sixteen women who love paper crafting as much as I do! My heart is full with love and gratitude for these amazing women and the wonderful memories we shared! I've been super lucky over the years to spend crafty weekends with many card makers, scrapbookers, and paper crafters. Some of my dearest friendships have formed from this crazy wonderful hobby.
For my card share today, I created a rainbow halftone card inspired by the rainbow stairs and decor at the Whatever Craft House from our retreat! The Halftone Hearts were stamped using the Rock 'n Roll Technique and Distress Oxide Inks, overlapping the hearts for interest. This technique works especially well with pigment inks and is one of my favorites! I love seeing how it looks with the amazing Oxide inks!
A greeting from the Crafty Friends Stamp Set was stamped over the largest heart using black Versafine Ink as shown. An additional greeting from the Crafty Friends Stamp Set was stamped on black cardstock using Versamark Ink, heat embossed with white embossing powder and trimmed into a thin strip before being adhered under the other greeting.
The strip was trimmed to 2 3/4" x 5 1/2" and adhered to a 3" x 5 1/2" strip of black cardstock.
I felt like the background was a little plain so I stamped the smaller greeting phrase repeatedly on the card base using the same colors of Distress Oxide Ink as the hearts, creating a rainbow text background.

Today the Mama Elephant Design Team is showcasing the October Release! I'm sharing a card with the On The Hills Dies to make this bright and colorful holiday scene card!
Falling snow from the Holly's Snowflakes Stamp Set was stamped on a 4 1/4 x 5 1/2" panel of smooth white cardstock using Versamark Ink and heat embossing with white embossing powder. Salty Ocean Distress Oxide Ink was applied over the embossing to add color to the sky.
The hills, cloud border, houses, and trees from the On The Hills Dies were die cut from smooth white cardstock. The borders were adhered along the bottom and top edges of the panel as shown.
The houses and trees were inked with Distress Oxide Inks to add custom color to the die cuts. The images were tucked behind the borders as shown.
A greeting from the Peaceful Wishes Stamp Set was stamped on the front border with Versafine Black Ink.
Individual clouds from the On The Hills Dies were die cut from vellum and adhered to the background to help fill in the scene.
Confetti hearts were die cut from smooth white cardstock and inked with Candied Apple Distress Ink and adhered to the card to finish the design.

Welcome to the Lawn Fawn October Inspiration Week!
Today the Lawn Fawn Design Team is showcasing one of my favorite products from the Fall and Winter Release, the Portrait and Landscape Stitched Hillside Backdrops dies. I've used these dies several times already with THIS thank you card, Happy Holidays Shaker Card HERE, Penguin Waddling Card HERE, and Otter Christmas Card HERE. These dies are great basics perfect for scene building and are the perfect card starter!
I cut three frames from smooth white cardstock and adhered them one on top of another. Another frame was die cut from Mermaid Cardstock, keeping the inside cut out only and stamping with snow from the Snow Cool Stamp Set with Yeti Pigment Ink. Mountains were die cut from another inside panel using Stitched Mountain Border Dies and topped with glittered snow caps.
I mixed and matched houses and trees from the two sets and adhered them along the hills as shown. The trees, houses and sky were embellished with Nuvo Crystal Drops and the hearts coming out of the chimney were embellished with Glossy Accents.

This month's kit is so amazing! A 6x8 Kind Flowers stamp set, coordinating die, and specialty papers push this right over the top! I created a dimensional die cut word from the gorgeous floral stamp, making it really pop. The florals were watercolored with metallic gold and silver and a green watercolor.
I trimmed a patterned paper from the kit to 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" and adhered it to a white side fold card base. I trimmed a piece of Cream Cardstick from the kit to 3" x 5 1/2" and used a Scallop Stitches Die on both edges to add stitching detail. I trimmed the Dark Chocolate from the kit to 2.5" x 5 1/2" and stamped the large floral from the Kind Flowers Stamp Set with Versamark Ink and heat embossed with gold embossing powder.
Once dry, I die cut the word kind from the strip with the coordinating die from the kit. I die cut the word from a scrap of the Dark Chocolate four more times. I adhered the strip and inlaid a plain die cut Kind word and then stacked the rest on top, finishing with the watercolored word. I love how the word pops from the florals!
An additional greeting from the Kind Flowers Stamp Set was stamped on Dark Chocolate fwith Versamark Ink and heat embossed with white embossing powder. I adhered this strip with a thin strip of foam and adhered it above the word "kind".

Welcome to the Lawn Fawn October Inspiration Week!
Today the Lawn Fawn Design Team is showcasing the new Stitched Ornaments dies. These dies feature stitching lines on both side of the die so not only can you create the die cut shape but you can create windows with the shape as well! There are three sizes of ornaments plus accessories to decorate them. I thought the large and medium ornaments would make amazing gift tags and as I started fussing with them, I thought to add Nuvo Crystal Drops and I fell in love! I think these might be some of my favorite tags ever! They would make great ornaments too! And of course, I needed a storage or gift box to coordinate so I used the Fancy Box Dies and the smallest ornament for the box.
Stitching detail dies or layered die cuts were added to the front of each tag and then I finished each with Nuvo Crystal Drops in Simply White, Bubblegum Blush, and Red Berry.
The Fancy Box Die was used to create packaging for the ornaments. The smallest ornament was die cut from the front cover of the box and backed with a clear transparency and embellished like the gift tags. I love matching packaging and this was super fast and easy.
When using Nuvo Crystal Drops be sure to let them sit and dry for at least 24 hours before using to make sure they are good and solid.

The new release from Simon Says Stamp is all about holidays with awesome new Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas themed stamps, dies, and stencils! I am in love with the whole release and couldn't pick a favorite! I combined five new dies with a new stamp set for this Christmas-themed die cut scene card! I mean, new Picture Book Snowman, Deer, and Santa?!!!! I had to use them all, right?!!!
The background was lightly inked with Salty Ocean Distress Oxide Ink, spritzed with water from a Distress Sprayer, blotted dry, and set aside to dry. I wasn't going for a lot of coverage here but instead a hint of color to really highlight my die cuts.
The Picture Book Snowman, Santa, Deer, and Holly Trim were die cut from Lawn Fawn, Simon Says Stamp, and Neenah cardstock and pieced together as shown. I didn't have a flesh color cardstock so I instead die cut the santa face from white cardstock and colored it in with Copic Markers. I also added pink cheeks to the snowman! I find it easiest to run the larger die cut picture book die cut pieces through a Xyron Sticker Maker and then assemble them on my card. I adhered the tiny die cuts (eyes, noses, etc.) with a liquid adhesive like Glossy Accents.
For the greeting, I adhered a piece of gold foil cardstock to Fun Foam backed with Stick It and die cut it with the new Fa La La Dies. I adhered the dimensional greeting to the card and trimmed off the excess from each side.
I finished the card by adding white pen details to the die cuts and adding Glossy Accents to the noses and holly berries.
