Welcome! Thank you for sharing part of your day here. Today I'm sharing a Halloween shaker card featuring the Waffle Flower Boo Stamp Set and coordinating dies. I find that my favorite shakers are ones where there is stuff going on inside the shaker, on the acetate window, and on the front of the frame! Even though this is a simple design, this adorable Halloween card is sweetly spooky and the interactive shaker element adds lots of fun!
The inside of the shaker was created by stamping the open moon image from the Starry Night Stamp Set on Bristol Smooth paper using Versamark Ink and heat embossing with white embossing powder. The moon and sky were watercolored and set aside to air dry.
The front of the shaker was created by die cutting white cardstock with a Lacy Layers Die and a Flower Circles Inverted Die. The frames were secured together with adhesive and backed with a piece of acetate stamped with the spider web image from the Boo Stamp Set using white StazOn Ink.
The “boo” greeting was stamped in the lower right corner of the shaker frame using black ink.
The bear witch, ghost, bats, and spider from the Boo Stamp Set were stamped on smooth white cardstock, colored in with Copic Markers, and die cut with the coordinating Boo Dies.
The bats were adhered to the “inside” of the shaker and the rest of the images on the shaker front. Two layers of foam tape were used to frame up the shaker window and silver and clear star confetti and sequins were used to fill the shaker.
