Welcome to the Waffle Flower New Release Blog Hop!
Today I've got two interactive cards to share with you featuring lots of new stamps and dies from the newest release! I couldn't pick just one new die or one new stamp set for my share today! I'm going to be showcasing the new A2 Arch Window Dies, Window Shutter Die, Pop Up House Dies, Books & Coffee Stamp Set, and Cold Hands Stamp Set for my cards today. Let's get started!
For my first card I created an interactive window and shutters scene card. When you open the shutters, it reveals a fun scene inside the window! The card base was created from a half sheet of 8 1/2 x 11 cardstock, scored 2 1/8" from each side to create the "shutters". Four shutters were die cut from Black Licorice Cardstock with the new new Window Shutter Die. The shutters were adhered to both the front and inside of the flaps of the card. This makes the design look as awesome closed as open!
The images from the were stamped and masked on smooth white cardstock using the new Books & Coffee Stamp Set. I inked over the masked images with Hickory Smoke Distress Ink and then stamped over with a Cracked Brick Wall background image and the Hickory Smoke Distress Ink. The masks were removed and the images were colored in with Copic Markers. A sentiment from the stamp set was stamped with black ink as shown. Details were added to the images with a white pen, black glaze pen, and Glossy Accents.
A window was die cut from smooth white cardstock using the new A2 Arch Window and adhered over the scene with foam adhesive squares.
My second card features the new new Pop Up House Dies and Cold Hands Stamp Set. The front of the card has a single layer panel created by stamping images from the new Cold Hands Stamp Set on smooth white cardstock, coloring in the images with Copic Markers and then embossing a frame around them mice and sentiment with a Lacy Layers 2 Die and embossing mats.
The inside of the card showcases the amazing new new Pop Up House Dies. This little pop up is amazing and you can decorate it in several different ways to fit the theme of your card design! I created a Christmas decorated house to go with the Christmas Mice!
The pop up is actually pretty easy to put together! I would recommend adding any decorative elements to the house before adhering it to the inside of the card. It's a lot easier! Also, if you plan to stamp anything on the inside of your card, it's easier to do that before assembling and adhering the pop up to the crease.
