Hello there! Thank you so much for joining me today! Plaid backgrounds are super easy with the awesome Plaid Play Stamp Set from Waffle Flower Crafts! You can literally create any plaid design with this awesome plaid builder set! I created a blue/green/yellow combo for my card today.
On a 4" x 5 1/4" smooth white background, I stamped the borders from Plaid Play using Fossilized Amber, Twisted Citron, Peacock Feathers, and Salty Ocean Distress Oxide Ink. Pigment inks work fantastic with this design as they give great full coverage for solid image stamps.
Balloons from the Congrats Stamp Set were stamped on white cardstock with Versamark Ink, heat embossed with white embossing powder, die cut with the coordinating Congrats Die, and inked with the same Distress Oxide Inks as the plaid background for embossed resist. Thin hemp twine was attached to the bottom of each balloon and the balloons were secured to the card front with foam adhesive, leaving room for the greeting, and the strings pulled taunt to the backside of the panel and secures with tape.
The Celebrate Die was die cut from smooth white cardstock adhered to Fun Foam with Stick It adhesive and adhered to the card as shown. An additional sentiment was stamped on Black Licorice Cardstock using Versamark Ink and heat embossed with white embossing powder before being trimmed into a thin strip and adhered under the dimensional greeting with foam tape.
The panel was adhered to a white top fold card base to finish the design.
