Hello friends! I have been wanting to use the adorable images from the Retro Christmas Stamp Set forever. I thought it would be fun to combine the cute snowman and signage images with the Holly Oval Frame for this framed up scene card! I love how the die gives the illusion of looking through a forest or window out into the falling snow to see this sweet scene.
A frame was die cut from an A2 sized panel of smooth white cardstock using the Holly Oval Frame and making sure to keep all the little die cut pieces to fill in some of the areas with inlay shapes.
The branches, leaves, and berries of the frame were colored with Candied Apple, Mowed Lawn, Pine Needles, and Gathered Twigs Distress Markers.
For the background, the snowman and signage from the Retro Christmas Stamp Set were stamped on smooth white cardstock using Jet Black Ink and masking. While the masks were in place, I inked up the background with Faded Jeans and Peacock Feathers Distress Oxide Inks. The images were colored in with Copic Markers and then "snow" was added to the scene by watering down Picket Fence Distress Paint and flicking it over the scene.
Greetings from the Retro Christmas Stamp Set were stamped around the frame using Versafine Onyx Black Ink and then the frame was adhered over the background scene with foam adhesive.
Glossy Accents, a black glaze pen, white opaque pen, and stardust glitter pen were used to add finishing touches to the card.
