Hi Crafty Friends!!
I've got two cards to share with you today featuring the bird images from the new release! My first card showcases the new Snow Birds Stamp Set, Snow Birds coordinating dies, Merry Christmas Stamp Set, Merry Christmas coordinating dies, and Hill Borders Dies.
Snowflakes from the Snow Birds Stamp Set were stamped on smooth white cardstock using Versamark Ink and heat embossed with clear embossing powder. Lucky Clover and Cracked Pistachio Distress Oxide Inks were applied over the snowflakes for embossed resist and water from a Distress Sprayer was spritzed over the background and blotted dry with a paper towel to add to the feeling of falling snow.
"Snow" borders were die cut using the Hills Borders Dies and adhered along the bottom edge of the background. A sentiment from the Merry Christmas Stamp Set was stamped along the bottom of the card with Lucky Clover Distress Oxide Ink.
The bird on a sled and snowman bird from the Snow Birds Stamp Set and the holly and berries from the Merry Christmas Stamp Set were stamped on Bristol Smooth Cardstock, colored in with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers, die cut with the Snow Birds coordinating dies and Merry Christmas Dies before being adhered to the card as shown.
Greetings were die cut from cardstock adhered to Fun Foam with Stick it using the Merry Christmas Dies. Candied Apple Distress Oxide Ink was applied to the dimensional greetings for a pop of color and the sentiments were adhered over the falling snow background.
The design was finished with a scattering of rhinestones, Glossy Accents on the berries and beaks, and Nuvo Crystal Drops in Simply White to decorate the snowman's scarf.
For my second card, a frame was die cut from a smooth white panel, using an A2 Double Stitched Frame die. On the center panel, greetings and music notes from the Season's Tweetings Stamp Set were stamped with Versamark Ink and heat embossed with clear embossing powder. Lucky Clover Distress Oxide Ink was applied over the ink, spritzed with water from a Distress Sprayer and blotted dry.
The stamped and inked rectangle was adhered to a side fold card front and the frame was adhered with foam adhesive to make it slightly pop.
A "snow" border was die cut with a Hills Border Die and adhered along the bottom edge of the card.
Birds from the Season's Tweetings Stamp Set were stamped on Bristol Smooth Cardstock, colored in with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers, and die cut with the coordinating Season's Tweetings Dies before being adhered on, around, and under the edge of the frame as shown.
The card was finished with Glossy Accents on the birds beaks, white dots on the cheeks with an opaque white markers, and a scattering of Nuvo Crystal Drops in Red Berry, Simply White, and Woodland Green.
