Welcome to Day 3 of my last minute Handmade Holiday 2017 Series!
I'm back with my fourth year of last minute handmade ideas! Even with the craziness of the season I like to be able to add handmade touches to gifts for our friends and family. Over the next couple of weeks I'll be sharing mostly quick (an hour or less) Handmade Holiday ideas for cards, tags and gift wrapping sure to add that handmade touch we all love. Most ideas will include multiples (today I created two gift card holder cards)!
Each Handmade Holiday project blog post will feature a brand new, never before seen project(s) plus an incredible giveaway from a generous sponsor!
PICTURE BOOK GIFT CARD HOLDER CARDS & ENVELOPES
Broken China Distress Oxide Ink was applied to Bristol Smooth Cardstock using an Ink Blending Tool and a light hand. I spritzed the background with water from a Distress Sprayer and blotted it dry with a paper towel.
A border was die cut from Noble Fir Cardstock using the Pine Needle Border Die and stamped with a greeting from the Christmas Squad Stamp Set using embossing ink and heat embossed with white embossing powder.
The border was adhered to the bottom of the inked background as shown.
The Picture Books Secret Penguin, Picture Book Snowman, Picture Book Deer, and Picture Book Polar Bear were die cut from smooth white, Black Licorice, Chili Pepper, Peacock, Canned Pumpkin, Vanilla Malt, Chocolate Bar, Paper Bag, Blue Jay, and Noble Fir cardstocks and assembled and adhered to the card as shown.
Mini hearts were die cut from Chili Pepper and adhered to the design to finish the front of the card.
Nuvo Crystal Glaze was applied to the eyes, noses, and hearts.
For the inside of the card I used a Basic Rectangle and Gift Card Slots Die to create a gift card pocket from Lawn Fawn Mermaid Cardstock. The Picture Book Happy Penguin was die cut and assembled on the inside pocket along with some red Mini hearts. Nuvo Crystal Glaze was applied to the eyes, nose, and hearts.
A greeting from the Merry and Bright Stamp Set was stamped on a Metallic Green Envelope with embossing ink and heat embossed with white embossing powder.
