Welcome to Day 2 of my last minute Handmade Holiday 2017 Series!
I'm back with my fourth year of last minute handmade ideas! Even with the craziness of the season I like to be able to add handmade touches to gifts for our friends and family. Over the next couple of weeks I'll be sharing mostly quick (an hour or less) Handmade Holiday ideas for cards, tags and gift wrapping sure to add that handmade touch we all love. Most ideas will include multiples (today I created two vellum favor bags)!
Each Handmade Holiday project blog post will feature a brand new, never before seen project(s) plus an incredible giveaway from a generous sponsor!
VELLUM & YETI FAVOR BAGS
The bases of each Favor Bag were created by die cutting vellum using the Favor Bag Die. Each favor bag base was stamped with snowflake images from the Holly's Snowflakes Stamp Set using StazOn Cotton White Ink. A stitched rectangle was die cut from smooth white cardstock using a Favor Bag Die and adhered to the inside of the favor bags. I assembled the bags using 1/4" Scor Tape.
The yeti and hat from Me and My Yeti and a banner from Sentiments From Yeti were stamped on smooth white cardstock using Lawn Fawn Jet Black Ink, colored in with Copic Markers, and die cut with the coordinating Me and My Yeti Dies and Sentiments From Yeti Dies.
The bursting through panel was die cut from Lawn Fawn Chili Pepper Cardstock using the stitched scallop rectangle from the Favor Bag Die and the Pretty Pink Posh Peek-A-Boo die. The Peek-A-Boo die is a favorite for creating that "bursting through" effect that instantly adds a touch of fun to a project!
Greetings from the Sentiments From Yeti was stamped below the Peek-A-Boo opening using Versamark Ink and heat embossed with white embossing powder. The Peek-A-Boo was opened up, the yeti adhered to appear to be bursting forth from the opening and then the banner and hat were glued in place. The panel was secured to the front of each favor bag.
Mini tags were die cut from smooth white cardstock using a Favor Bag Die. Greetings from the Mini Messages Stamp Set were stamped on each tag. Ribbon and twine secured the mini tag to the top of each favor bag.
