Welcome to the Valentine's Day Release Blog Hop celebrating the latest release!
I created a set of cards with alcohol inked backgrounds. The inked backgrounds are the perfect backdrops for the new stamps and dies from Waffle Flower! Frame dies and decorative dies add the perfect finishing touch to these new designs.
I applied alcohol inks to Yupo Paper, using several different techniques with Blending Solution and/or Felt Applicator pads to create beautiful patterned backgrounds. Pearl Mixative and Silver Mixative add some shimmer to the designs.
For the fish card, I die cut the elements from the Make A Fish Dies using colorful cardstock and layered and inlay pieces to create this stunning fish design. This die collection is gorgeous and can be made in so many amazing color ways! I absolutely love the Make A Fish Stamp Set that coordinates as well!
I die cut one of the alcohol ink backgrounds from a Stitched Layers Die. I die cut the shape again from smooth white cardstock. The background was adhered to a side fold card base and greetings were stamped with Cotton White StazOn Ink. The frame was adhered around the inside panel using foam adhesive squares.
I adorned the fish with Nuvo Crystal Glaze and Nuvo Simply White Crystal Drops.
I finished the design with a scattering of Pretty Pink Posh 4mm Clear Droplets.
For my next card I used another Stitched Layers Die for my background. Pears and hearts from the new Stitched Love Stamp Set were stamped with Chirp Chirp, Tickled Pink, Coffee Loves Milk, and My Pleasure Waffle Flower Inks. I die cut the images with the coordinating Stitched Love Dies.
On the frame I added a stamped greeting from the Little Bakers Stamp Set.
For the last card I created an interactive window/shutters card for the adorably sweet bakers from the Little Bakers Stamp Set.
The window was die cut from an Arch Window Die and backed with an alcohol inks background. The girls from the Little Bakers Stamp Set were stamped on smooth white cardstock, colored in with Copic Markers, and die cut with the coordinating Little Bakers Dies. Some additional images were stamped from the new Morning Love Stamp Set, die cut with the coordinating dies, and adhered to the design as shown.
Shutters were die cut from kraft carcdstock using the Shutters Die and assembled to a card base to cover the window. A label was die cut from red cardstock using a Lacy Layers 2 Die and stamped with a greeting from the Little Bakers Stamp Set before being adhered to the front of the shutters.
