Hello! Today the Mama Elephant Design Team is showcasing the new Fly With Me Stamp Set and coordinating dies! I wanted to use all the elephant/balloon images from the stamp set and decided the best way to showcase the cute critters is with a tri-fold card. I love tri-fold cards for giving me plenty of room to build an extended scene! In addition to the Fly With Me images I used the new Hello Friend Script die and Occasional Labels greeting as well as a sentiment from the previously released Hello Friend Wishes, balloons from the Celebration Balloons Stamp Set, and the stars from the Confetti Stamp Set! Mixing and matching is always my very favorite way to create.
To create the base of my tri-fold card, I trimmed the 9x12 Bristol Smooth Cardstock to 5 1/2" x 12 and lightly penciled in lines at 4" and 8". I stamped the elephant/balloon images from the Fly With Me Stamp Set throughout the three "panels" with Versafine Onyx Black Ink. The pencil lines provide a guideline to know exactly where to stamp the focal point images.
Next, without any masking, I stenciled and inked the background with the Mini Cloud Edges Stencil using Blueprint Sketch and Shaded Lilac Distress Inks. I chose not to mask because both Distress Inks and Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers are water based meaning the zig markers will cover up the background inking.
In addition to the Fly With Me images I stamped balloons from the Celebration Balloons Stamp Set to fill in the background. The images were colored in with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers.
I adhered Stick It Adhesive to both sides of a piece of Fun Foam and then adhered smooth white cardstock to one side. I die cut the Hello Friend Script die greeting from the dimensional material, inked it with Blueprint Sketch and Shaded Lilac Distress Inks and adhered the greeting to the top of the extended scene card.
Next, I stamped an additional sentiment with Versafine Onyx Black Ink using a Occasional Labels greeting, trimmed it into a thin strip and adhered it underneath the dimensional greeting.
I also stamped a sentiment from the Hello Friend Wishes at the bottom of the design.
I finished the card with a scattering of stamped stars using the images from the Confetti Stamp Set.
