Hello. Today I'm sharing a card with current favorite (and new release) greeting stamp set from Mama Elephant, Occasional Labels! This is an amazing stamp set that works with so many different styles and occasions cards. I love a well rounded sentiment stamp set, don't you? ;)
I mixed and matched stamps from older (Pix's Favorites, Oh Happy Birds, Bella Letters) stamp sets with newer (Occasional Labels and Favor Bag Add On Love) stamps and dies for this love-themed card today.
On a 4" x 5 1/2" piece of Bristol Smooth Cardstock, I used the middle heart die from the Favor Bag Add On Love to die cut a heart frame for the background. I inked both pieces with Abandoned Coral and Dried Marigold Distress Inks, spritzed them with water from a Distress Sprayer and blotted dry with a paper towel.
I adhered the heart directly to the card base, stamped an ampersand from the Bella Letters on the frame and adhered the frame with foam adhesive squares for subtle dimension.
Greetings from the Occasional Labels were stamped on smooth white cardstock with Onyx Black Versafine Ink, trimmed into thin strips and adhered above and below the ampersand with foam adhesive.
Images from the Pix's Favorites and Oh Happy Birds were stamped on smooth white cardstock with Versafine Onyx Black Ink, colored in with Faber Castell Polychromos Colored Pencils, blended with Gamsol and a stump pencil, and die cut with the coordinating Pix's Favorites Dies and Oh Happy Birds Dies.
The images were adhered to the card as shown and finishing detailing were added with black and white pens.
