Welcome to the Simon Says Stamp Friends Release Blog Hop!
This release has already been quite popular and there are already almost 100 projects linked up in the Friends Gallery. SO much inspiration!
Today I'm sharing this set of four cards created with the Modern Flowers Dies, Stained Glass Love Stamp Set, and coordinating dies. Each card features inlay die cut florals and with enough die cut pieces for two cards. I hate to waste so I made two cards in pink/red and two in blue/violet!
A layer of Nuvo Crystal Glaze over the top of the colored Stained Glass Love Stamp Set gives the sentiments a fantastic "stained glass" look just like the name suggests!
The backgrounds of the cards were created from Bristol Smooth Cardstock trimmed to 4" x 5 1/4" and inked with Picked Raspberry and Mowed Lawn Distress Inks before being spritzed with water from a Distress Sprayer and blotted dry.
Flowers and leaves were die cut from Cotton Candy, Doll Pink, Schoolhouse, Green Leaf, and Green Apple cardstocks using the Modern Flowers Dies. The die cut pieces were adhered and inlaid on the backgrounds as shown.
The large stained glass greetings from the Stained Glass Love Stamp Set was stamped on smooth white cardstock using Jet Black Ink, colored in with Copic Markers and adhered to the card(s) with foam adhesive squares.
A sentiment phrase was stamped on Black Licorice Cardstock with Clear Embossing Ink and heat embossed with Lawn Fawn White Embossing Powder. The phase was adhered with foam adhesive.
Each card was finished with Nuvo Crystal Drops in Simply White in the centers of the flowers and scattered throughout the design and a layer of Nuvo Crystal Glaze over the tops of the stained glass greeting.
The blue/violet version of these cards features Blueprint Sketch and Shaded Lilac Distress Inks for the backgrounds.
Lavender, Blue Violet, and Royal Purple cardstocks were used for the flowers.
