Honey Bee Stamps | Spring Flowers Blah Bunny Card

I am such a huge fan of the Honey Bee Stamps Blah Bunny Stamp Set. It's such a great image especially when paired with the Blah Blah Blah greetings. To make this encouragement style card a bit bright and cheerful I added the sweet flowers and bees from the Busy Bees Stamp Set.

To build the background I inked up Bristol Smooth Cardstock with Mermaid Lagoon Distress Oxide Ink and an Outdoor Scene Builder Stencil. Borders were die cut with a couple of Hill Borders Dies. I inked up the borders with Lucky Clover Distress Oxide Ink and adhered the borders along the bottom edge of the sky/clouds scene.

The bunny from the Blah Bunny Stamp Set. and the flowers and leaves from the Busy Bees Stamp Set were stamped on smooth white cardstock, colored in with Copic Markers, and die cut with the coordinating Blah Bunny Dies and Busy Bees Dies. The images were adhered to the scene as shown and some bumblebee "trails" were stamped on the background to add a sense of movement.

A sentiment from Blah Blah Blah was stamped along the bottom edge of the scene with black ink. I love how you can mix and match the greetings from this stamp set to say just what you want to say!

The inside of the card was finished with another greeting from the Blah Blah Blah greetings set and a leftover bumblebee!

Mama Elephant | Extreme Masking Tri Fold Card

Hello friends! I'm so excited to share this one layer tri-fold card birthday card with you today! Tri fold cards are a great way to extend your cards for a fun surprise for the recipient. I love the look of tri-fold cards, especially one layer cards. They are easy to fold, easy to mail, and there is no white outline from die cutting the images! I'll be sharing tips and tricks on masking, stenciling, what kinds of coloring mediums to use, and how and when to fold your tri-fold card in my video today. Let's get started...

I trimmed a piece of Bristol Smooth Cardstock to 5 1/2" x 12" and gently drew in pencil lines at the 4" and 8" marks to note where the card will be scored (when all the inking and coloring is done! Save this step for last!).

Next I gently traced the MFT Drifts and Hills Stencil so I knew about where I would be inking the landscape. I stamped and masked the images from the Mama Elephant Tea With Friends and Picnic With Friends stamp sets using Versafine Onyx Black Ink. The masks will protect the images from the background stenciling.

The landscape was inked with Mowed Lawn Distress Ink using the MFT Drifts and Hills Stencil. The cloudy sky was created with the MFT Mini Cloud Edges Stencil and Salty Ocean Distress Ink. The Tim Holtz Layering Woodland Trees were inked with Mowed Lawn and Lucky Clover Distress Inks.

The masks were removed and sentiments from the Tea With Friends and Picnic With Friends stamp sets were stamped on the first and last panels of the card design as shown.

The images were colored in with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers and details were added with white and black jelly roll pens.

The card was scored at 4" and 8" with a Scor Pal and folded and creased with a Teflon Bone Folder to finish the one layer design.

Spellbinders | Dinosaur Pop Up Box Card

Happy Sunday friends! Today I'm sharing this interactive pop up box card I created for Spellbinders this month. Interactive cards are one of my favorite things. And pop up cards? They take the cake! The pop up cards I’ve mailed to friends and family are always a huge hit. Today I’m going to share how I created this prehistoric pop up scene with the new Die D-Lites Dinosaurs and lots and lots of other Spellbinders dies.

Four panels and four inserts were die cut from brown cardstock using the Shapeabilities Heart & Home Scalloped Pop Up Box Etched Dies. On the box panels, I stenciled and stamped the panels of the box to add that prehistoric “character” I was going for. It’s much easier to do any embellishing of the box panels when they’re flat and then assemble the box and add the rest of the die cuts.

On each of the inserts I added a trimmed down grass die from the Die D-Lites Picket Fence Etched Dies.

Landscapes were created by die cutting a Card Creator Classic A2 Waves Borders Etched Die from brown cardstock, inked up the embossed edges with Gathered Twigs Distress Ink and applied them to the card flaps.

Dinosaurs were die cut using the Die D-Lites Dinosaurs Etched Dies, clouds and a sun using the Die D-Lites Sun and Clouds Etched Dies, and palm trees using the Die D-Lites Palm Trees. The embossed areas on each of the die cuts were inked with Distress Inks to add texture and interest. The eyes, mouths, and scales on the dinosaurs were embellished with black and white pens.

The images were adhered to the pop up card inserts and flaps as shown.

A sentiment was stamped on the front flap and the card was finished with some heart shaped enamel dots.

Lawn Fawn | Tiny Bunny Gift Boxes

Hello! Today I'm sharing some quick and easy gift boxes featuring the adorable new Lawn Fawn Tiny Gift Box Gunny Add On Dies. These adorable dies work with the new Tiny Gift Box Dies, transforming the boxes into bunnies!

The boxes were die cut from the new Perfectly Plaid Spring 6x6 Paper. I folded up the boxes and secured the four tabs to assemble the box with Scor-Tape.

The bunny components were die cut from smooth white cardstock, Black Licorice cardstock (eyes/nose), Ballet Slippers cardstock (cheeks), Fake Tan cardstock (carrot), and Cilantro cardstock (green carrot).

A greeting from the Push Here stamp set was stamped on the front bunny face for each box using Bubblegum Ink, Sunflower Ink, Celery Stick Ink, and Moonstone Ink.

The carrots were assembled and adhered between the die cut paws on each bunny face and then the face was adhered to the front of each box. The eyes and nose were inlaid and the cheeks glued in place as shown. The back feet were glued to the sides of each box.

Glossy Accents was applied to the eyes and nose for a glossy, raised finished. A pom pom was glued to the back of each box to finish the designs.

Honey Bee Stamps | February Release Blog Hop

Hi Crafty Friends!!

Today I'm sharing a masked and stenciled card featuring the new Feelin' Foxy Stamp Set, Ridiculously Happy Stamp Set, and the Candy Hearts in Kiss Me and Be Mine. The previously released Fall Showers Stencil is perfect for creating the falling hearts background!

I stamped the foxes from the Feelin' Foxy Stamp Set, on smooth white cardstock using Jet Black Ink. I stamped the images again on masking paper, cut them out and masked the images.

I used post it tape to mask off the bottom of the design and inked the top of the panel with Candied Apple Distress Oxide Ink. I used the falling hearts Fall Showers Stencil to create a tone-on-tone background. I moved the post it tape and masked the bottom of the panel with Lucky Clover Distress Oxide Ink, then I removed the masks.

I colored in the images with Copic Markers and added detail with black and white jelly roll pens.

A sentiment from the Ridiculously Happy Stamp Set was stamped along the top edge of the panel using Versamark Ink and heat embossed with white embossing powder. Candy Hearts in Kiss Me and Be Mine were glued to the card front as shown.

Another sentiment from the Ridiculously Happy Stamp Set was stamped inside the card with black ink and hearts from the Feelin' Foxy Stamp Set were stamped with Candied Apple Distress Oxide Ink.

Simon Says Stamp March 2018 Card Kit | Coloring Over A Patterned Paper Background

Hello! Today I have a quick and easy card share featuring components from the March 2018 Card Kit from Simon Says Stamp. The kit has sold out but the papers, stamps, and embellishments I'm using for my card today can be purchased individually. I am creating a quick and easy card featuring coloring over a white woodgrain patterned paper with Polychromos Colored Pencils. No masking, no fussy cutting needed! This card came together super fast!

Patterned papers from the Carta Bella Spring Market 6x6 paper pad were trimmed down and adhered to the front of a cream card base as shown. I made sure the white woodgrain paper was tall enough to accommodate the bunny image, sentiments, and additional images.

Sentiments from the Showers and Flowers Stamp Set were stamped along the bottom left of the white woodgrain strip with Twirling Tutu, Melon, Duckling, and Versafine Onyx Black Ink.

The bunny and carrot were also stamped with the Versafine Onyx Black Ink, colored in with Polychromos Colored Pencils, and blended with Gamsol.

Hearts from the Showers and Flowers Stamp Set were stamped on the background with Twirling Tutu and Melon inks.

The bunny was finished by gluing a pom pom in place over the stamped tail.

Mama Elephant Stamp Highlight | Picnic With Friends

Today the Mama Elephant Design Team is showcasing the brand new Picnic With Friends Stamp Set and coordinating dies! I used the previously released On The Hills Dies to build the adorable outdoor scene for these sweet critters.

To start, I die cut the background elements from Bristol Smooth Cardstock using the On The Hills Dies. The hills and tree tops were inked with Mowed Lawn Distress Ink, the tree trunks with Gathered Twigs Distress Ink, and the background with Salty Ocean Distress Ink. The background and grassy borders with spritzed with water from a Distress Sprayer and blotted dry.

All of the pieces plus the clouds were adhered to the blue inked panel to finish the background. A greeting from the Picnic With Friends Stamp Set was stamped along the top cloud edge as shown.

Critters and images from the Picnic With Friends Stamp Set were stamped on smooth white cardstock using Jet Black Ink, colored in with Copic Markers, and die cut with the coordinating dies. The images were adhered along the grassy edge of the background scene to complete the card.

Waffle Flower New Release Blog Hop + GIVEAWAY

Welcome to the Waffle Flower New Release Blog Hop!

Today, I'm sharing a jungle-themed birthday card with the new Jungle Birthday Stamp Set and coordinating dies and the awesome new A2 Grid Builder Die!

The background was created by die cutting Bristol Smooth Cardstock using the A2 Grid Builder Die. The frame and inserts were inked with Mowed Lawn and Twisted Citron Distress Inks, spritzed with water from a Distress Sprayer, and blotted dry. Greetings from the Congrats Stamp Set were stampeed on the long insert using WF Chirp Chirp Ink and Versafine Onyx Black Ink. The inserts were adhered to the card base and the frame was adhered with foam adhesive squares.

Images from the Jungle Birthday Stamp Set were stamped on smooth white cardstock, colored in with Copic Markers, and die cut with the coordinating Jungle Birthday Dies. The images were adhered to the A2 Grid Background to finish the "jungle theme".

Mama Elephant | Little Bunny Agenda

Hello! Today the Mama Elephant Design Team is showcasing the brand new Little Bunny Agenda Stamp Set and coordinating dies! I paired these cute bunnies with the previously release Hillside Cover and accessories from The Bunny's Hop for the front of my card and added more bunnies to the interactive Inside Pop Fence.

The interactive Inside Pop Fence was die cut from Paper Bag and Noble Fir cardstock, assembled and adhered to the inside of the top fold card base (see video for full details on assembling the pop up). A greeting from the Tea With Friends Stamp Set was stamped inside the card.

Images from Little Bunny Agenda Stamp Set and The Bunny's Hop were stamped on smooth white cardstock using Jet Black Ink, colored in with Copic Markers, and die cut with the coordinating Little Bunny Agenda Dies and The Bunny's Hop Dies before being adhered to the pop up as shown.

The Bunny's Hop images coordinate so perfectly with the Little Bunny Agenda images, don't ya think?!!!

The Hillside Cover was die cut from Bristol Smooth cardstock, masked, and inked with Salty Ocean and Mowed Lawn Distress Inks before being spritzed with water from a Distress Sprayer for a little distressing. A sentiment from Picnic With Friends was stamped on the top and additional Little Bunny Agenda and The Bunny's Hop images were adhered to the background to complete the card.

Lawn Fawn February Inspiration Week | Easter Party, Easter Egg Frames, Little Flowers, Spring Sprig

Welcome to the Lawn Fawn February Inspiration Week!

Today the Lawn Fawn Design Team is showcasing the new Easter Party Stamps and coordinating dies, Easter Egg Frames, and Spring Sprig. I threw in the new Little Flowers Dies for my card share today as well. Who else is eager for Spring? These flowers have me longing for warm days, sunshine, and of course, flowers!

The largest Easter Egg Frame was die cut from Mermaid Cardstock, keeping all 3 pieces for my background. Another frame was die cut from smooth white cardstock.

A greeting from the Easter Party Stamp Set was stamped along the curved bottom edge of the egg on the background using Versamark Ink and heat embossed with white embossing powder.

The background pieces were adhered to a white top fold cards base and the white frame was glued in place.

Flowers, greenery, and the flower pot from the Spring Sprig and Little Flowers Dies were die cut from Ballet Slippers, Raspberry, Sunflower, Fake Tan, Cilantro, Noble Fir, Blue Jay, Sugarplum, and Paper Bag cardstock and adhered to the design/frame as shown.

Glossy Accents was applied to the center of the flowers. A white jelly roll pen was used to add detail to some of the flowers and the flower pot.

The kid dressed as a flower from the Easter Party Stamps was stamped on smooth white cardstock with Jet Black Ink, colored in with Copic Markers, and die cut with the coordinating die. The image was adhered to appear to be peeking out from behind the flower pot as shown.

The rest of the greeting from the Easter Party Stamps was stamped on the inside of the card with Mermaid Ink.
