Today I'm sharing how to create this adorable panda scene with the new Die D-Lites Build A Panda Die Set and Die D-Lites Picket Fence with the addition of a stamped images and sentiment!

The bamboo image from the Simon Says Stamp Cool Panda Stamp Set was stamped on Bristol Smooth cardstock with black ink. The background was inked with Salty Ocean Distress Ink (no masking required!) and then Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers were used to color in the image. Because Distress Inks and Zig Clean Color markers are both water based, it's easy to color over the inked background!

The Die D-Lites Build A Panda Die Set panda images were die cut and embossed from Chili Pepper, Black Licorice, and smooth white cardstock. The picket fence and grass from the Die D-Lites Picket Fence were die cut from Noble Fir and Paper Bag Cardstock.

The images were adhered to the background as shown and detail was added with markers and a white pen. Glossy Accents was used for the noses.

The card was finished by stamping hearts and a sentiment from the Simon Says Stamp Cool Panda Stamp Set with clear embossing ink and heat embossing with white and rouge embossing powders.

Mama Elephant | The Bunny's Hop (Easter Card)

Hello! Today the Mama Elephant Design Team is showcasing the brand new The Bunny's Hop Stamp Set and coordinating dies. I used soft colors for my coloring and background paired with a gold foil die cut sentiment and a scattering of gold Nuvo drops to give this Easter card a more elegant look.

The background was inked with Tattered Rose Distress Ink, spritzed with water from a Distress Sprayer, and blotted dry with a paper towel. 

The border image from the The Bunny's Hop Stamp Set was stamped on smooth white cardstock with Lawn Fawn Jet Black Ink, colored in with Copic Markers, and die cut with the coordinating dies. Details were added to the images with Glossy Accents, a black jelly roll pen, an opaque white jelly roll pen, and the Nuvo Aqua Shimmer Pen.

The border image was adhered along the bottom edge of the background with foam adhesive.

The "Happy Easter" greeting from The Bunny's Hop die collection was die cut from gold foil cardstock adhered to Fun Foam with Stick It Adhesive. A greeting from the Photo Bomb Stamp Set was stamped on the background with clear embossing ink and heat embossed with gold embossing powder. The dimensional sentiment was adhered to the card as shown and the design was finished with a scattering of Nuvo Crystal Drops in Pale Gold.

Simon Says Stamp March Card Kit | Framed Up Thanks Cards

Today, I'm combining elements from the Showers and Flowers Stamp Set and Choose Joy Stamp Set to create these framed up thank you cards!

The Frond Collage Die was used to die cut a frame from the smooth white cardstock included in the kit. Using the frame as a guide, images from the Showers and Flowers Stamp Set were stamped on another piece of smooth white cardstock using Jet Black Ink and the images and background were colored in with Copic Markers. In the how to video tutorial I've listed the colors for coloring in every part of these two beautiful images.

Details were added to the images with white and stardust glitter pens as well as Glossy Accents.

On the frame panel, I stamped the "ribbon" strip image from the Choose Joy Stamp Set using Versafine Onyx Black Ink. I chose this ink because it's a pigment ink and would stamp the darkest black border. Because it's a pigment ink be sure to allow for drying time before trying to emboss on top of it or speed up the process by using a heat tool.

I stamped greetings from the Showers and Flowers Stamp Set on the border with clear embossing ink and heat embossed with white embossing powder.

The frames were adhered over the backgrounds using foam adhesive squares.

The Script Thanks was die cut from cardstock adhered to Fun Foam with Stick It Adhesive and adhered to the cards as shown. 

The panels were adhered to white top fold card bases to complete the design and paired with beautiful envelopes from the kit!

Simon Says Stamp | Simple Rainbow Cards (Set of 3)

I have a tendency to go over the top and to extremes with my cards sometimes but there are times where simple is better. I wanted to showcase some of the newest Simon Says Stamp dies with some simple rainbow cards. Each of these cards showcases a little strip of rainbow patterned paper from the soon-to-be-released Lawn Fawn Really Rainbow 6x6 Paper Pad, and then lots of white space with simple stamped and embossed sentiments from Handwritten Love and You Got This stamp sets and die cuts or inlay die cuts as accents. It doesn't get much better than rainbow, my friends! These cards scream "HAPPY"!

An approximately 1 1/2" strip of a Lawn Fawn Really Rainbow 6x6 patterned paper was adhered along the bottom edge of three side fold card bases. In fact, you could actually get four cards from this one sheet of 6x6 paper but I only made the three today! ;)

A Scallop Stitches Die was used along one long side of a 3 3/4" x 5 1/2" piece of cardstock for all three cards. I love these dies. They add a great decorative touch without overwhelming the design. These are some of my most used dies and a fantastic basic.

For this first card I used the Cupid's Heart Border and die cut it from the background above the decorative edge. I stamped the "I Love You" greeting from the Handwritten Love stamp set using Versafine Onyx Black Ink and then backed the panel with foam adhesive. This is my favorite way to create an inlay. 

I die cut the border from Lawn Fawn Ballet Slippers, Raspberry, Chili Pepper, Fake Tan, Sticky Note, Sunflower, Cilantro, Mermaid, Peacock, Blue Jay, and Sugarplum cardstock and inlay the pieces in the border. I used a glitter marker over the hearts and leaves and added Glossy Accents to the circles for a decorative touch.

An additional greeting from the You Got This was stamped on Black Licorice cardstock using Versamark Ink and heat embossed with white embossing powder before being trimmed into a strip and adhered to the card as shown.

The second card is really similar to the first except I used the Sprinkle Heart Die instead. I love the look of the rainbow cardstocks filling this heart, don't you?!!!

My final card doesn't feature any inlay but instead a paper pieced Picture Book Love Bear. This would be great with any of the Picture Book Dies from Simon Says Stamp! In fact, I think a whole set of thank you's made in this style would be so much fun!

Welcome to the Mama Elephant Design Team blog hop!

Today I'm sharing a sweet little tea party scene card with the brand new Tea For Two Stamp Set and coordinating dies. This scene is framed up with three Pegworks Frame Dies stacked one on top of another.

 

The background was created by die cutting smooth white cardstock with the Pegworks Frame Die. I inked the inside rectangle with Cracked Pistachio Distress Oxide Ink, spritzed it with water from a Distress Sprayer and let it air dry. Once dry, a sentiment from the Tea For Two Stamp Set was stamped with Versafine Onyx Black Ink.

 

I die cut three frames using the Pegworks Frame Die and adhered them to a white top fold card base one on top of another.

 

The images from the Tea For Two Stamp Set were stamped on smooth white cardstock with Jet Black Ink, colored in with Copic Markers, and die cut with the coordinating Tea For Two Dies.

 

The images were adhered above the stamped greeting as shown and finished by adding black jelly roll pen to the eyes, a fine tip black pen was used for eyelashes on one of the bunnies, and a white jelly roll pen added dot detail to the cheeks of the critters and the table umbrella.

For today's card I'm showcasing the Color Layering Elephant Stamp Set, Color Layering Elephant Frame Cuts, Thorn Tree and Grasses Fancy Die, Safari Sunset Fancy Die, and Liquid Watercolors. All these new products combined make for a clean and simple birthday greeting card!

The Thorn Tree and Grasses Fancy Die and Safari Sunset Fancy Die were die cut from Canson Watercolor Cardstock and color was added to the die cuts with Strawberry, Dandelion, Moss, Mulled Wine, and Artprint Brown Liquid Watercolors. I used paintbrushes to apply the color, let the ink air dry and then adhered the images to a white top fold card base as shown.

The Coloring Layering Elephants were stamped on smooth white cardstock using Lawn Fawn Manatee Ink, Narwhal Ink, and Versafine Onyx Black Ink. The elephants were die cut with the Color Layering Elephant Frame Cuts and adhered the scene. The balloon was stamped and colored in with Copic Markers before being die cut and adhered to the card.

The design was finished by stamped a sentiment from the Color Layering Elephant Stamp Set along the top of the card.

Lawn Fawn February Inspiration Week | Rub A Dub Dub + Quilted Backdrop

Hello! Welcome to the Lawn Fawn February Inspiration Week!

Today the Lawn Fawn Design Team is showcasing the new Rub A Dub Dub Stamp Set and coordinating dies as well as the amazing new Quilted Backdrop Die. I combined these new products for this sweet card today. I love that by switching up the sentiments this design could be used for a new baby, a mom, dad, as well as friendship like I used it for here! I love versatile stamp sets!

The background was created by die cutting smooth white cardstock with the Quilted Backdrop Die. I backed the panel with a trimmed down piece of Mermaid Cardstock for contrast and adhered the background to a white top fold card base.

Images from the Rub A Dub Dub Stamp Set were stamped on smooth white cardstock with Jet Black Ink, colored in with Copic Markers, and die cut with the coordinating Rub A Dub Dub Dies. The images were adhered to the background as shown.

A banner was die cut from Mermaid Cardstock using a Fancy Banners Die, stamped with a sentiment from the Rub A Dub Dub Stamp Set using Versamark Ink, and heat embossed with white embossing powder.

The banner was attached to the card front under the ducks/bath scene with foam adhesive squares.

The inside of the card was finished with additional sentiments from the Rub A Dub Dub Stamp Set stamped with Mermaid Ink.

Spellbinders | Pizza My Heart Party Food

Hello everyone. I’m thrilled to be guest designing for Spellbinders! Today I’m sharing how to die cut multiples of an image to create a larger overall element for your design with the new Die D-Lites Party Food Dies!

I started my card by stamping a plaid “tablecloth” background for my pizza using Fired Brick and Black Soot Distress Oxide Inks with the Concord & 9th Plaid Background Stamp.

The Die D-Lites Party Food Etched Dies were die cut seven times from Vanilla Malt, Sunflower, and Canned Pumpkin Lawn Fawn cardstocks and inked with Gathered Twigs Distress Ink. Each pizza slice was assembled and adhered to the tablecloth background as shown.

By combining multiple pizza slices I was able to create a full size pizza for my card! I stamped a greeting from the Simon Says Stamp Funny Food Stamp Set on one of the pizza slices using black ink and adhered it slightly away from the other to draw attention to the slice/sentiment. A greeting from the Die D-Lites Party Food Etched Dies was die cut three times from black cardstock, adhered one on top of another and placed above the stamped greeting.

The card was finished by adding detail to the pizza with black and white gel pens.

Simon Says Stamp | Masked Easter Scene Card

Hello friends! Back in November I created THIS Christmas framed up masked scene card and I loved the design so much I thought I'd try my hand at another holiday with this Easter framed up masked scene card with the Springtime Critters Stamp Set.

I die cut the Flowing Vine Collage from a 4" x 5 1/4" piece of smooth white cardstock and then used the frame as a guide to know where to stamp the Springtime Critters Stamp Set on the background panel. I stamped and masked the images and then inked the background with Lucky Clover and Cracked Pistachio Distress Oxide Inks before removing the masks.

The images were colored in with Copic Markers and detail was added to the images with black and white jelly roll pens.

The Flowing Vine Collage was adhered over the background with foam adhesive to give the illusion of looking through greenery into a little clearing in the forest where there's a birdhouse, bunny hiding in an Easter bucket, and an egg! I just love creating these little masked and framed scenes!

A greeting from the Easter Greetings Stamp Set was stamped on Smoke Cardstock with Versamark Ink, heat embossed with white embossing powder, trimmed into a thin strip, and adhered to the card as shown.

The card was finished with Nuvo Crystal Drops in Rosewater, Limoncello, Key Lime, and Morning Dew.
