Hello! Today I'm sharing a set of five encouragement cards featuring Nuvo Mousse and Simon Says Stamp stenciled backgrounds and lots of awesome glitter cardstock die cutting on top. I had so much fun creating these gorgeous backgrounds that I knew I had to make more more than one card to share!
For the backgrounds, I trimmed heavyweight to 5 1/4" x 4" and applied Nuvo Mousse in Pink Flame, Citrus Green, Cornflower Blue, Pacific Teal, and Old Navy through the Simon Says Stamp Folk Dance Stencil. I let the backgrounds sit and air dry overnight. You could also speed of the drying time by using a heat tool. The Nuvo Mousse should air dry in about 45 minutes to an hour. Make sure to clean your stencil and palette knife immediately after applying the product to the paper so it doesn't dry on!
The Simon Says Stamp Streaming Hearts Die was die cut from white glitter cardstock and adhered along the left edge of each background as shown. Anything hanging off the edge was trimmed off with scissors after the glue dried.
Stick It Adhesive was placed on both sides of a piece of Fun Foam and run through a die cutting machine to make sure the adhesive really secured to the Fun Foam. Glitter Cardstock in Magenta, Sapphire, Orchid, Silver, and Teal was adhered to the Fun Foam pieces and the Hello Beautiful Gorgeous Dies were used to die cut dimensional greetings from each.
The dimensional sentiments were adhered over the Streaming Heart Die as shown.
Phrases from the You Got This Stamp Set were stamped on smooth white cardstock with black ink and cut into thin strips before being adhered below the die cut greeting.
The cards were finished with a scattering of Honey Bee Stamps Rainbow Rhinestones.

Hi and thanks for this amazing video - these cards are so lovely! I can't believe that you did this messy technique wearing that cute long-sleeved top! Brave girl. I want the Nuvo Mousse to be creamer and spread a little easier. It just is so stiff. These cards are so inspirational. Thanks for all you do - you are a real gem!

Nichol,
I absolutely love the backgrounds for these 5 cards, using the Nuvo mousse is not something I have tried before but a lot easier because it is already coloured. The colours also are beautiful. TOP TIP cover the tops of the container with cling wrap before putting the lid on will help prevent drying out.
Thank you for the tip about the heart too, using the negative to put the positive in the correct place. I also have started using fun foam but I often use coloured fun foam the same colour as the top glimmer paper which gives it a shadow look. Thank you for sharing these projects with us crafters. :O)

Beautiful cards! I have new ideas for using my Nuvo mousse now. I do hope Simon restocks their white glitter cardstock soon, it's the best glitter cardstock I've found.

Beautiful cards with the Nuvo Mousse. It looked like it was easy to use. I do love that heart die, also, and thank you for the tip of using the negative space to line up the pieces. Thanks for all you do and always sharing great things with us!

Gorgeous cards! This Nuvo mousse adds so much to a stenciled background especially. This Folk Dance stencil is beautiful and makes a great platform for your glitter paper heart image anď embossed die cut sentiment. So gorgeous!! I've used the mousse a couple times and found it so easy to work with and clean up too. Love it!! Thanks for sharing your creativity with us today!
