Hi friends! I am a huge fan of the Spellbinders Die of the Month Club Kits and I'm so excited to share these cards featuring the March 2018 Small Die of the Month Club Kit with you today! For $7.50 + shipping each month, you will get a brand new exclusive die kit from Spellbinders. Be sure to check out their Large Die of the Month Club Kit too!
I thought the frames from the March 2018 Small Die of the Month Club Kit would pair perfectly with my favorite Build A Panda Dies and the results are these bright, colorful, rainbow cards below! Let's get started...
For my first card the standing pandas are holding up empty frames and peeking through them. The inspiration for these frames came from photo booth ideas where people hold up frames and take photos.
The patterned paper for the background comes from the new Lawn Fawn Really Rainbow 6x6 Paper Pad. A strip of Mermaid Cardstock was splattered with Picket Fence Distress Ink and adhered to the patterned paper and a greeting from the Simon Says Stamp You Got This Stamp Set was stamped on a Black Licorice cardstock strip using Versamark Ink and heat embossed with white embossing powder. The greeting strip and another thin black cardstock strip were adhered to the background.
The March 2018 Small Die of the Month Club Kit frames were die cut from Lawn Fawn Chili Pepper, Sugarplum, and Peacock cardstock using the Spellbinders Platinum Die Cutting Machine and then embossed. The detail on these frames is amazing. You can also use the dies individually as labels and layer them together instead of making them into frames. The possibilities are endless!
I added some distressing on the frames with Black Soot Distress Ink and adhered the frames and the die cut Build A Panda dies to the background as shown.
Detail was added to the pandas with a white gelly roll pen.
For my second card I used the fourth frame design and die cut it from Peacock cardstock and Mermaid Cardstock. The greeting stamped on the inside label is from the Simon Says Stamp Handwritten Love Stamp Set. The frame was popped up with foam adhesive on a Lawn Fawn Really Rainbow 6x6 Paper Pad patterned paper trimmed to 4" x 5 1/4".
A sitting panda was die cut and assembled to sit on top of the frame. This design is so simple but I absolutely love how it turned out!!!
