Welcome to the Sugar Pea 4th Birthday Bash Blog Hop!
Today I'm sharing a fun card featuring lots of Sugar Pea stamps and dies. I made my card into a birthday themed design by adding a birthday sentiment to the inside but this design would also work for lots of different occasions by switching up the greeting! The Sugar Pea Chunky Monkey Stamp Set features these darling little monkeys that add a touch of fun to any card design. The Large Striped Cover Plate is the perfect background.
The Large Striped Cover Plate was used to die cut smooth white cardstock and then inked with Lucky Clover Distress Oxide Ink, spritzed with water from a Distress Sprayer and blotted dry. Two additional cover plates were die cut from smooth white cardstock and adhered to a white top fold card base. A greeting from the Chunky Monkey Stamp Set was stamped on the oval of the cover using Versamark Ink and heat embossed with white embossing powder. The inked striped cover was adhered to the top. The inked stripes were inlaid and adhered directly to the card base for a dimensional background.
A Sugar Pea Designs Hello word die was die cut from Simon Says Stamp Emerald Glitter Cardstock adhered to Fun Foam with Stick It Adhesive and adhered to the background as shown.
The monkeys and branch from the Chunky Monkey Stamp Set were stamped on smooth white cardstock using Jet Black Ink, colored in with Copic Markers, and die cut using the coordinating dies. The images were adhered to the background as shown.
The design was finished by adding black and white gel pen detail to the images and adding a scattering of Nuvo Crystal Drops to the background.
