For my cards today, I used images and greeting stamps from the main kit with the Blanket Pattern Bold Print background stamp. The Blanket Pattern Bold Print was used to create custom "patterned papers" for the bottom 2/3 of each card. Distress Oxide Inks in Candied Apple, Spiced Marmalade, and Fossilized Amber made for bright and colorful prints.
The first patterned background was created by masking off parts of the background stamp with post it tape and stamping a couple of lines of the image with one color of Distress Oxide Ink before masking off another couple of lines and stamping another color. This is a great way to achieve a multi-color background look quickly and easily.
The second patterned background was created by doing the exact same thing but them masking each section off again and using the ink blending tool over the stamped areas for more intense tone-on-tone color. This is great is you don't want any of the white cardstock base to show through.
The third patterned background was created by inking up some smooth white cardstock with the three colors of ink ombre style and stamping the Blanket Pattern Bold Print over the background with Versamark Ink and heat embossing with white embossing powder.
Each card was finished by stamping an image and a sentiment from the main kit on smooth white cardstock using Jet Black Ink, coloring in the images with Copic Markers and adhering the strip to the top of the patterned card base.
A thin strip of black cardstock is the perfect divider between the stamped images and the inked backgrounds.
Each design was finished with a scattering of Nuvo Crystal Drops in Simply White, Red Berry, Ripened Pumpkin, and Dandelion Yellow.
