Hello! Today I'm sharing a one layer card featuring no line colored pencil coloring and images from the Feelin' Foxy and Busy Bees Stamp Sets! I have always loved one layer cards that don't feel like one layer. An embossed frame adds to the interest of this simple design.
To start, I embossed a frame on a 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" piece of Dessert Storm Cardstock with an A2 Double Stitched Frame. Instead of die cutting with the die, I used embossing mats with my die cutting machine to emboss the shape into the cardstock.
Images from Feelin' Foxy and Busy Bees were masked and stamped in the center of the embossed frame using a light ink for the no line coloring. You want to pick a light ink so that it doesn't show once you add color but one that is still dark enough so that you can follow and see the lines. The images were colored with Polychromos Colored Pencils and blended with Gamsol and a stump pencil.
A greeting from the Foxy Sentiments Stamp Set and butterfly "trails" from the Busy Bees Stamp Set were stamped on the front of the card with Versamark Ink and heat embossed with white embossing powder.
Details to the images were added with black and white pens.
A sentiment from the Foxy Sentiments Stamp Set was stamped on the inside of the card with black ink to finish the design.
